Dilo last couple tricks were really nice, but I wish he would drop some of ledge to manny to flip to manny stuff. First skater was sick.
there's so much to love about Dilo but this side of his skating really doesn't land for me too. he's got gargantuan pop, exceptional at skating bump to bars and over rails, his out ledge game is extremely strong, and he has excellent switch and nollie flip tricks that he can huck down big stair sets and gaps. his manual skills are obviously incredible too, but i think he's at his best when he's either doing traditional manny combos (one trick in, one trick out) on a standard manual pad, or when he's popping really high or far either into or out of a manual, stuff like nollie over the rail to nose manual down the bank in this, switch ollie over the ledge at MACBA to switch manny switch flip, nose manual to nollie down a 12 stair or whatever in an older part, and definitely whenever he nollies up or over something out of a nose manual (can't fathom being able to get enough pop to even nollie up a curb straight on out of a nose manual tbh). when he starts getting into nose manny nollie flip nose manny nollie flip nose many revert switch manny switch flip fakie manny fakie flip whatever territory (all on the same one-level manny pad), the sequence of the combo really loses a lot of appeal. feels like Fully Flared era ledge dancing. doing too much. "just because you can doesn't mean you should" vibes. if he dropped this stuff (and also the "trick over picnic table to manual trick on flat ground" combos), i think the general impression of his trick selection would be more favorable.
that being said, liked this part a lot (as i do all his parts) and there were tons of really sick clips in here. i know he's had a tough go of being a pro skater over the past decade or so and hope he gets his due because he is genuinely an incredible skater
