I had that same issue. After it I never touched vans again and never will
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

I recently bought some half cabs and I have a question.

They are the "pro" version with the duracap rubber on the toecap.
So they should be good for skating.

The insole is "pro" as well and is super thick.

The thing is, the shoes itself fit really good. quality looks decent although it's a really "stiff" shoe.

When I wear them my heel keeps slipping out.
At first it was only when I was pushing, now it's while I walk as well.
Tightening the laces doesn't help either ...

Pretty damn frustrating and very unsafe as well.

Does anyone else have this issue? How do I solve this?

I had this same problem with half cabs and ended up having go a half size down for them to fit properly and not slip when I push. However I tried the “92” version or whatever it’s called and the problem persisted. I kinda gave up on them altogether at this point because they’ve been increasing the price and $90 for half cabs isn’t worth it to me. Imo vans needs to ditch the “skate” version of everything because the break in period really sucks. I can’t even walk in their skate slip ons let alone actually skate in them without getting insane blisters.

for me it only happened on that one pair and it didn't impact the way they skated. I liked them. Even then I was still only wearing skate shoes when I skated. Birks and stuff when not. They still skated good for me at least.

I'm not very good but I liked skating them. These are after the backs split. This was one morning at my local I never go to on my birthday and then a summer camp came lol

And here's another that same summer in my backyard. And these were the ones that split a month and a half later and still felt good.

I lace mine to the silver grommet, tie them once and slip my fat feet in. I guess you might need fat feet

I do notice the 92s seem more roboust. but the normal seem like the heel goes inward more(less slip)

I must have posted these 92s in here a year plus ago and they are just now comfy, but still a thin vulc. I don't skate them often. Too stiff but still thin. decent chillers tho
no, i live in an efficiency by myself and work in middle management like you, loser
