Furby.  Gave us that one incredible part.

By "incredible part" are you talking about his penis?

Cole Wilson
I thought he was a future SOTY for sure.

Tony Cervantes comes to mind. Was doing gnarly shit with some off the wall tricks well before weird stuff became acceptable

A bunch of rippers in the late 2000s/early 2010s. Gavin McMahon Nolan, Derrick Wilson, Ben fisher

Eric Fletcher. Would have been amazing to see a dude from eastern Iowa potentially get on Flip / Girl.

Iíll say Jeremiah Vance, Element was talking him up non stop then he vanished in like a year.

There was a lot of Theatrix, but the Brainwashing ultimately made him Suffer the Joy.

Flamed out or petered out? I feel like 95% of everyone has petered out in the last decade.

Itís mind boggling how little most pro skaters produce these days.

Lots of great answers in this thread of names I used to see a lot, especially in old mags.

What the hell happened to T Spliff?? He was on fire then disappeared, then had like a 3 day resurgence then disappeared again?

Cole Wilson, Dyson Ramones, Kenny Hoyle, Andre De Silva, ANDREW POTT.

Cole Wilson

This one bums me out. I liked Cole's skating. But I think someone here posted the Foundation filmer mentioning Cole's injuries got to be too much and eventually he knew he had to bow out because of them.

Jake Duncombe

Dude seemed to have a rough start in life and then just got completely absorbed into the party scene. The only time I've seen him in person he was drunk out of his mind at a premiere yelling "Do a Benihana" at the screen the entire time.

Jon Rob started off strong and then flamed out quickly in terms of his skate career. I think his time on Birdhouse lasted less than a few months. Dude had a ton of potential, but he ended up being stuck lingering in the Happy Medium world.

Same thing applies to Josh Hawkins except it was with Powell instead of Birdhouse.

Mark(us) Wyndham of "THIS is Markus. You may not know him now but you will someday!" fame. Eventually turned pro for Planet Earth and then just vanished.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qG4_YV3V2Q

Chris Branagh. If memory serves, World stopped giving him ads while they brought on Jovantae, Daewon, Chico, et al and turned them pro, but included his very short and subpar part in "Love Child" along with those guys, seemingly just to embarrass the kid and manufacture a reason to demote him to am rather than just kick him off. Then he either quit or was eventually kicked off, and disappeared from skating soon after.

Coco Santiago but purportedly, he had some pretty serious mental health and substance issues.

Imagine what Marisa Dal Santo would have done if she went pro for Zero instead of tapping out at the peak of her powers

Lindsey Robertson but maybe he needed to disappear so his legacy could grow in its mystique. I replay the dying to live part every couple of months.

Whatever happened to the steezegod Ronson Lambert?

I remember way back around 2009 or so, either on SP or here, that some women posted him on a site where people could name and shame deadbeats and shitty boyfriends.

That's how I came to know about him, the off brand PJ Ladd.

He did have some cool/interesting trick selection.

Oh right now i remember he still keeps up with skate stuff because he sometimes comments on videos in a 'nikki blonsky from hairspray' kind of way
