Chase made it more fun to watch than it should have been. It arguably should have been game too at the statue drop-in but Bastien accepted the Baker-maker. Not sure why he tried to finish him on a euro/stepup 180 on the 3 block when he could have just done some backside ledge trick or some funky little thing no one would normally do in a game like he had been doing before. At least he made it entertaining skating by the seat of his pants as opposed to the focused breathing contest mode preying on weakness Venice jock style skateboarding that Sanders displayed.

And at least no one did any flat-ground tricks in the 2nd game! That shit is unforgivable at a perfect plaza spot.

flat ground tricks at macba are the essence of skateboarding. No idea why you wouldn’t like seeing that. It’s also been a consistent thing since the first king of macba

So far I think the Chase Webb match was the most entertaining. This one was probably second. I think the Sean dude could have had it but did the tell-tale mistake of knowing you can do something but not moving on to another trick.

Yeah I usually like Dilo but this was not fun to watch, should have been more of a gentlemen in the trick selection. Him and Skategoat had the same approach to these matches and it’s not a good look.

If it was a friendly game that would be a bad look but a contest, you do what you got to do. All the people on this bracket are fighting for an once of relevency, I imagine the pressure is high for them to win.
