Pretty sure Cole’s boards didn’t sell anywhere near as quickly as he thought and that’s why he went back to Zero vs. doing his own thing

someone like paul rodriquez doing that and someone like decenzo doing that are absolutely not the same thing- beloved flagship skater for nike with 10+ pro shoes vs guy who rides for darkstar and FP footwear... of course people snapped up the paul boards

Goes to show how much I paid attention to Cole’s situation. I’m not surprised Cole and Decenzo don’t/won’t do as well as Rodriguez, but they do have fanbases to some degree.


Skateboarding hasn’t needed Another Board Company for at least five years… should I begin campaigning to alter the tax code to prevent these future delusions from materializing??

Frankly, a C&D from the smaller brand would be one of the best things that could come of this for Ryan Dece: he legally has to start fresh w/ a new brand, and hopefully a clean slate (provided the taste of the “2¢ incident” branding misstep hasn’t lingered too long in the collective psyche,) and he is able to put this unfortunate episode behind him.
