Big boys on their toys
« on: February 26, 2024, 01:23:02 PM »
I knew this dude was big, but 230 and 63?!

https://www.thestar.com/sports/amateur/how-a-230-pound-former-football-player-became-canadas-top-ranked-skateboarder-vying-for-the/article_cae6ba7e-d261-11ee-b690-2f8368f531ea.amp.html

I know theres some other skaters on the thicker side, but I gotta think this is the heaviest pro skater due to height and build.

Anyone ever seen any pros with a listed weight in this range?

This dude has never filmed a legit part. Hes strictly a contest skater. Thats crazy in 2024.

He has it. He was skating like a grown man at 12.

Front lip Hollywood High. 12 years old.

Fuck that shit, us Canadians are not claiming this dude.  Moved to the States at 4yo before ever skateboarding, moved to Cali at 8!?  Nah hes all yours.  Between 2cents and Papa Burger our contest squad is embarrassing enough.

I'm 6'4 180lbs. Not there yet, but I was 170lbs two years ago.
Check back with me in 10 years and I might have him beat...of course, I won't be built like a linebacker...probably more like Grimace from McDonald's.

Saw this guy skate in Tampa a couple years ago and his skating was pretty impressive in person. Seemed really happy to be there compared to others and he gave his complete to a little kid in the crowd after his final run. Hes the size of a football player but dresses like a Cali beach volleyball player whos fav skater is Jah. He definitely has some illegal tricks as his go to but I think since hes more of a contest skater anyways. Kinda stands out from the pack. It wont always translate into more points/score though. Not a fan of those 270 shuv lip variations but hes been doing Fakie heel back lips and makes em look pretty sick. The Canada play is definitely a move to rank higher for the Olympics. Hed have way more competition for a USA placement. Professor Schmitt made a post recently about making custom bloards for him. I think thinker ply and longer Wb than normal. I think he said he went through a deck per sesh on average.

Yall ever watch Dew tour on Sunday mornings after the weekend today show? Its wild theres a whole separate realm of skating that only skates contests and youve never heard of and will never be on a team page. This dude is one of those dudes unless he starts filming a part .

I used to be in that zone now(same height) now i'm about 190 and stronger. Its crazy what a difference I feel while skating. I couldn't imagine being as big as cordano though. Luckily I don't really blow through boards often

I've been trying to get there but man its hard to eat enough to put on weight for me.

I skate/exercise regularly and I generally eat pretty healthy food so getting to a calorie surplus is difficult.

Reese is like 63 lil smaller than Kenny and was skating the same size wearing a 13 shoe lol. His boards looked like toothpicks in 3rd Eye View.

I'm 6'4"/205 with size 13 feet and I ascribe me not riding anything bigger than 8.38 solely to the fact that I grew up riding almost nothing but 7.5s. I know how insane it is and I'm fully aware it would be MUCH easier landing shit on a wider board, but I'm way beyond salvation at this point. Trying a 9 in. board even as a cruiser on supersoft wheels feels odd.

Probably a lovely guy and great influence for the kids but he dresses like a dickhead with his insane bro-vests and dumb trick selection.

Shocked to see hes only 19 though. Sorry Aurelian giraud, theres a new goofy in town

Id love to see a Cordano part.  Taller / big bodied skaters are usually more fun to watch  ;)

Im surprised he doesnt weigh more with his build at 63, Id guess 250-260. Im 6 230 (well, probably 210-215 now) and have a similar build and he looks heavier than I am.

His skating is for sure a guilty pleasure of mine
