Probably don't wanna make much impact while you're wearing Vans, eh?

wish the "tour" aspect wasn't an afterthought, like they just showed off a couple skateshop storefronts, Nelly in the van, like you took the team to Hawaii and couldn't get 1 B-Roll clip of them to show off the tropical paradise?

Milk Music and Fiddlehead too.  Surprisingly sick soundtrack for a Thrasher edit and hope future edits stray away from the royalty free hell ride metal.

elijah 🙏

Seeing him skate our local diy when they came to Grand Rapids gave me a new respect for him. He was actually really friendly, too.

Hoping Eli has something rad in the works that comes off authentic because he has the skill. Edit seemed made for a Vans store tv.

that is such a sick crew that all seem to be in their prime. nick michel, rowan, roman, elijah, curren, gilbert, nelly and the list goes on.

really enjoyed how casual this vid was. easy music, simple editing (aside from the curren clip at the beginning, that was sick)
and great skating is a timeless formula.

As a lifelong Hawaii resident it makes me super happy to see our spots get shredded the fuck out of by people who don’t live here and have a completely different eye and approach to our everyday stuff that we have skated for years.

First of all Eli is a fucking madman, period.
That fucking giant rail he grinded at the end is something that’s been there forever and no one I mean no fucking body ever looked at that thing at thought “you know, I think that is totally makeable and I’m gonna give er a go”.

Wait I take that back, I heard a rollerblader actually stepped to that thing but holy shit it was wild to see Eli barge that thing and handle it, my homie George lives in the neighborhood and actually saw this go down and texted me right after, shout out to George he probably has a good angle on his phone that he can post now haha.

The frontside grind over the bank to wall with the hole is fucking batshit crazy also, across from where he did the impossible noseslide (also wild) but his frontside tailslide to fakie on that out ledge (entire thing) is insane and two blocks from where I live and that ledge is terrifying, I front 50d it in my younger days it’s super low to get on but then the drop off at the end is over head high and it doesn’t really get much action from locals and nobody had front tailed the entire fucking thing til now. Yikes.

Also the long rail that Curren frontside Smith grinded, also the entire thing, is right where I drop off my kids at school every morning and I talk to them about tricks on it all the time, it’s actually called the Nyjah rail cuz Jah backside 5-0 grinded the entire thing which is also nuts.

I was at the Ray Barbee show and he ripped, couldn’t find myself in the crowd goddammit I wanted some BGPs in this thing.

More tropical b roll would have been nice as mentioned, this place is far too beautiful to not have done at least a smidge.

never expected to see farrington skated that way. its usually the stairs on campus that get skated but the drop-in at the football field entrance was awesome

wallos footy is always appreciated

i pass by the outledge that berle front tail to fakied almost every day, right on kapiolani blvd. can only dream of hitting it

happy to see that my local, a’ala got at least one clip haha
