Whether it’s warranted or not, Gifted Hater has been a more relevant force in skating over the past couple years than Nora.  Kinda corny hearing her hit him with the “mom’s basement” cliche when he’s raking in money from Patreon and going on trips with one of the most popular current board brands...

Ryan Lay is sick.  I enjoy his positivity and self reflection.  His skating is extremely stylish.  I really enjoyed this video.

More about his skatepal trips to the West Bank would have been appreciated (I’ve watched those videos, I’m just saying I wish this had stuck to his stuff instead of bothering to include the shit stirring cause it detracts).

Oh well. I’d never seen his early footage and it was bonkers, so now I have some homework to do…

burnett's comments were a bit strange. spanky is smart. nora is bitter. GH's hair looked dumb. i could've done without all the gh discourse but it's also funny/relevant because he really is a force in skating whether u like him or not. just maybe not include it in Ryan's episode and make a separate Sci Fi one?

anyways, i have limitless respect for Ryan cuz of his skating, focus on community/society, and determination. dude is a legend in my book.

Good watch. One of my favorite dudes. Never would have guessed he can get a bit difficult at times (something about him being hard-headed or single-minded), but it makes a lot of sense; it wouldn't be humanly possible to be that good-natured and chill every second of the day.

Nora's just not a gifted hater. With a bit more training and experience she'd be reasonable good I think.

In all seriousness, re: Joa v Nora (saying their names together like this makes them sound like two human characters that would exist in the Thomas the Tank Engine Extended Universe)
You guys (me included) champion Joa for using his platform to talk shit and state his opinion, no matter how unpopular. When Nora does the same, this is only sick. Auxiliary skateboard media in 2024 is so boring. I am so stoked for more beef and public shit talking in skating. One of the smartest things Tyshaun said was some shit like skating should be more like boxing with open taunting and shit talking.

Now that I’ve said that… that doesn’t make Nora TJ or Joa skateboardings Mike Tyson in terms of being quotable while talking shit. Unfortunately that title might have to go to Berle.
