I thought the song was ok but maybe doesn’t really suit his personality, seemed a little too serious for the type of guy he is

First thoughts… A lot of ride of grinds and those 2 FS boards on the curved rails stood out. That ender was brilliant spot and trick selection

i thought it fit perfectly. heavy in some parts, good pace, and ended in a way to make you say damn !!!!!

as to the seriousness of him, he strikes me as the type to take skating really serious but i think being on enjoi made us think otherwise

Liked this more than his last couple parts. Glad that he chilled out on the fakie manuals.

Was wondering about this dude the other day. One of my favs. Pretty sick footy for a truck part. Wanna see a part for a board company soon, but either way hope he’s doing good

That was really great! Going to watch again.
Yea I’m also surprised still no board sponsor. He’s certainly deserving. Very talented and always puts out quality footage.

So much of the ground at those spots looks terrible. Incredible stuff as always.

From his interview it sounded like he was in a tough mental spot. Enjoi was never a logical fit and I dunno what is. It seems there are a lot of really good skaters like that sorta stuck between brands.

yeah towards the end he was definitely not down for enjoi or jacuzzi. i wonder if he even needs a board sponsor given he's fairly well connected at nike, he can probably hold out for something he's into or float for a few more months

good part and song, those cobblestone spots all looked brutal

It really does. Can’t tell if it’s the limited brands and the amount of potential pro skaters or what. Feels like skateboarding is so popular right now that there is so much talent out there that could be sponsored but not enough demand from consumers to get them all paid. Makes you kinda irrationally angry at old aging pros just milking it who didn’t have to deal with this sort of saturation when they were 20 and coming up.

does the extra $500 a month being on a board company really matter that much? he is on nike full as a pro but hes not like their top guy either. i dont really know how mcuh you would make in that circumstance. probably not tons but not shitty either - more than enough to get by for a single guy but probably not enough to buy a nice house and start a family comfortably.

Happy to see more footy from him after reading him talk about mental health struggles.

Pretty insane for a trucks part.

First spot is crazy, ender was bonkers. Hope he ends up in a good spot both mentally and sponsor-wise

Anyway dude is good.

that was such a bland song that actively took away from the part though. that could have been any number of shitty bands aping the mbv slowdive combo, leaving us with a limp song that doesn’t serve the skating

i think mason silva used swirlies once, and that actually kinda matched the skating.

Quote me in a decade when people cite this much-better-than-it-should-be Ace Trux part to make the argument that Deedz was an underrated skateboarder.

It's not just the $500 you get its the extra exposure. Your name is all over shops. You get that much extra promotion on social media, where a lot of name recognition comes from. If it wasn't for this part I woulda largely forgotten about him since Enjoi is gone. I don't use social media so without parts I'd never know what a pro is up to and probably forget about half of them. The younger generation forgets because they are so oversaturated with names.

Some corporate Manager at Nike probably gets some sort of stats for the number of likes, shares, posts, reels, etc. from each rider on the team and pay is likely partially determined by the exposure someone brings the brand.
