Honestly, this is probably the greatest piece of documentary skate media ever. So damn good, could have easily watched another few hours of this.

Agree 100% I could have watched hours and hours more of this.

The only thing I have issue with is stuff like dates and places that are not correct for example Rubbish Heap came out in 1989 not 1991 and when Guy is talking about Gonz’s clips in Paris from Video Days those were both filmed in London.

Bobshirt guy seems like a real knowledgeable skate nerd so I’m surprised he didn’t pick up on either of these things.

Other than that, I really enjoyed this one, and like said before could have watched another couple hours no problem.

how lucky are we that these are the two worst offenses in the whole piece? we live in an amazing time to love skateboarding.

I just figured since Guy mentioned Gonz’ striped shirt, they showed that footage? Minor thing. Excellent interview though. Hope he drops a full part soon.

Incredible!

Highlight for me was when he got the photo wearing a fake hand doing a grab, but then heard that Gonz had ABD on it. Gonz had done everything, brilliant.

Too good, didn't want it to end, so much gem information and insight there.

I go back and forth sometimes but Guy is my favorite skater of all-time, this just solidified it.

And at least he recognized that FF & PS went too far, just as most of us had expected, but his FF part will always live on for the comeback (I could honestly do without PS, just too much in every way).

And he cried when he missed that Gonzo sesh, that is so cute, I probably would have at that age too or hell, even now.

Didn't realise there was an actual Bob Shirt lol.

The Bob Shirt dude is really banking up his retirement plan by getting these dudes to handle and sign his collection lol.

I hadn't either! While I've consumed so much from that era, it was still before my time so there is probably still much to learn from a skate nerd perspective.

Guy made a good observation about how today’s graphics aren’t celebrated enough. Back then you’d have a deck graphic along with a t-shirt and a sticker.

Loved hearing him speak about Rick McCrank, comparing to him to Nyjah, saying he brought Koston to a new level & also comparing Antonio Durao to a modern Mark Gonzales. This whole interview was an incredible watch.

Yes, that was really cool to hear.

Almost made me tear up, because here you have TRULY one of the greats hyping up someone else up who is always in the mix when it comes to "greats", but in a way always seems to be in the background ...

Glad that Guy made such a great comeback. We could have lost him 25 years ago.

How much footy is this guy sitting on?

Truly didn't want it to end... you know what i mean?

Forgot how much i loved those early Girl graphics... the color schemes. Same with chocolate. Popsicle stick sizes though lol

@DISTANT RUMOURS i bet there's a goldmine of footage somewhere...

Bobshirt never misses. AVE, Tim Gavin (short but sweet episode), Welsh, BA would make for good ones..

Tim Bobshirt is really stepping up the editing with these last few, with the footage and images popping up. It's insane. As someone else said, could have easily done another hour and a half. thank you Bobshirt

His sentimentality and genuine love for skateboarding is so endearing. This is one of the coolest interviews ever.

Bobshirt and Chrome Ball get the best interviews because they are just as (or much more) nerdy about this stuff as us. He asks what we always wanted to know!

Mariano is true skateboard royalty.
I thought it wasnt just him solo, shouldve stuck with my og thought.

On the off chance anyone is feeling inspired after watching this, I just came across this ebay auction which includes new sealed copies of both Paco and The Chocolate Tour. Pretty good score for someone with some spare cash

As someone who grew up skating after the peak of most of the Bobshirt interviewees (started in 99), I still find them really great. It’s cool to digest skate history this way. Love the long form format too.

I just want everyone to know that I'm only 32.8% skateboarder, and that's on a good day. The rest is just soy and cum.

Gosh, this was a fantastic interview. Late-nineties Guy with the long hair was perfect in almost every way.

I love the Meza shoutouts. His work is truly brilliant and he deserves every positive mention.

The [first] switch 360 flip is still a personal favorite; perfection. And down the stairs? Come on!

I dare Girl to release the Hecox portrait for something.. mend the fences, bros! Hecox's earliest portraits had more line work, a little geometric in a way. They were more distinct and I really miss those.

Echoing that how wonderful it is that we lost Guy for some years, but he's been back in full force for nearly twenty years now. His memory and enthusiasm are such a gift.

Just wanna know where the part is at!!
