really dumb superficial reason for not liking a skater's footage but i don't like looking at gilbert crocketts bow legged stance

cool vid tho looks like quasi has their own gage boyle in this nam kid

the denim on denim outfit has to make skateboarding more difficult and will also make anything Gilbert could do look stupid

Damn people love hating on Gilbert. I don’t get it, he’s one of my favorites. Gonna rewatch Denim Car now.

This edit was okay. Kinda was thinking it was gonna be a full part from Gilbert but Jason Nam is growing on me.

love Quasi, love Gilbert, love Jason Nam, and some great skating in here (blessed with a JJ clip!) but the b-roll to actual skateboarding ratio was pretty egregious. maybe 2 minutes of real clips in a 6 minute video? c'mon lol

Gil rules. the smith that he teased was no joke. good marketing concept to post a fake cover and release the footage a few days later, but it is kind of a shot at thrasher.

I like Quasi's team but their art direction pales in comparison to the OG Workshop they're trying to emulate

oddly heartwarming pedestrian interactions

vibe was off with each to start with but ended nicely

1:58-3:16 was great, especially the wheelchair ramp guy.

Overall this had the ADHD kind of vibes I expect from Quasi. It would be nice to see a full length from them.

The gold standard of B-roll.

Those smooth ass bledsoe clips made my week. I wasn't really feeling nam in his debut, but really liked his power and style in this.

Not the most footage as people have already mentioned, but what's in there is gold. That made me a big fan of Jason Nam. Any Crockett or JJ footage is always a treat too. I loved the pissed off guy going "that was a good one though" after everything. I also got excited at the end when the Salem song came off in the background, I thought maybe someone would have a trick to it lol

I’m brand loyal to Quasi, I buy Special Gilby boards because I’m a fan as well as they’re the pointier of the noses. Love the team/taste in visuals/music selection…plus Baaaaab (BDK)

I genuinely don't think they're trying to emulate or recreate anything. OG Workshop is never going to be duplicated and I'm sure they know that.

homie with the chain on the wheelchair ramp went through the hardest rapid cycling I've seen as of late. like the 5 stages of grief hit him all at once.

I don’t get your comparison of Gage and Jason Nam. They skate completely different shit. Are you saying that because they’re both Asian?

Edit: video was sick. Always happy to see some JJ footage. I hope they put out a full-length sometime in the near future.

Yeah AWS to me is Dino Jr and 16mm b-roll.  Quasi’s always felt Midwest, but a diff area than AWS

I’m not sure how to describe Quasi’s aesthetics but I like it and they definitely aren’t trying to be AWS.
