What's up with that one Spanish girl in the Olympic street qualifiers?

I might be among the very few who actually zapped into the full broadcast of the Olympic street qualifiers. There was this one Spanish girl who ended up just cruising the park for 45 secs not doing a single trick. Didn't hear anything about her being hurt. It was truly bizarre and I had so many questions: Are there really no better candidates for the Spanish female street team? If you're that bad and somehow make it into the team, why do it? For benefits? Olympic team subsidies? Was she protesting? Or actually hurt and commentators just didn't know? But if you're hurt why even take the run??

Now I’m curious too about this mystery Spanish skater.

Maybe she snuck in, and no one knew any better, so she just owned it.

Perhaps, she got really super nervous, and couldn’t do any tricks. And just shut down.

Or maybe, she was just feeling cruising, fuck the Olympics.

in practice she was doing a back smith in a really big part of the park and when she got to the bottom she crashed into another girl that was sliding on her knees so she broke her collarbone

the run without doing anything is to get at least some points its better than not getting 0 points

heard she is going to paris even though she has to miss some olympic comps

Thank you supduude. You would expect the commentators to know and talk about this but then it's the Olympics and I was pretty baked so mightve missed it. Thanks again for solving that mystery, it revisited me frequently these past days.

Reminds me of a story my dad told me from when his band was invited to play a studio album; they'd get paid/reimbursed per band member so they registered their drum computer as their 5th (also credited on the album).
