Good lord Evisen edits are incredible. The one footed bs lipslide down the rail, the ledge fs lipslide pop out late shuvit, and the 360 flip to downhill runway bomb in ( I think ) France were such standout clips.

Damn, instant fan.

I really dig and can't understand these one foot to grinds - imagine how scary is to take one foot of your board just above a rail.

I already know, without watching, that this will be amazing Ö

Edit: But yeah, itís great to see him finally hit that growth spurt, loose his little kid steeze (even though I loved that too) and skate with full power! Him and Kento are going to be fucking bonkers in the next few years! Perfect timing for his pro model

Great to see they got their thang in action. Both of them keep progressing. Wonder if they'll get poached.

What a ripper! Combination of power and quick feet are a recipe for my favorite skating to watch.

No idea what evisen could even be paying but can't think of another company that would be worth leaving the best companies in Japan for.

I think maybe he meant getting poached by a non-Japanese brand?
Either way, Evisen have had his back since he was single digits so I couldn't see him leaving bar maybe the case of bad blood...

Yeah that's what I meant too. Like what American brand could be worth leaving evisen/tight booth for when you live in Japan and have everything great right there. The pay bump would have to be massive to leave the companies that have been there for you your entire life.

Yeah, true, they have been "grooming" him since he was a littlin' for sure. So he might have loyalty/Stockholm Syndrome.

A US sponsor is still the summum bonum for a lot of skaters in Japan. This, plus the fact most pros here don't make much unless they are competition skaters (which hasn't been his bag thus far), combined with the hella weak value of the Japanese yen at the moment, who knows what kind of 餌/人参 they would have to dangle in front of him.

Although subsidized health care is nice.

not trying to downplay the trick i think it is really creative and dope - lizard king was the first person i ever saw do 1 foot to bs lipslide down a handrail. but to me it seems pretty similar to a kickflip bs lip. which is still a very rad trick!!  lol i feel like one foots kinda just went out of style a bit cause they were seen as "too easy" compared to a flip trick. but to me it seems pretty comparable skill wise! you kinda just take your foot off late like after you have "caught" the ollie. the timing seems easier on a kickflip but there is more going on, where the timing is harder on a 1 foot but lot less going on...
