Sure, he might be an acquired taste and not everyone's cup of tea but then neither are any of the other "personalities" we have in skate. no one is universally liked or get it right every time.

I watched the whole thing. He's going to save skateboarding from the haters by investing money into positivity. He also said that in 10-20 years skateboarding will be in spandex unitards because when the industry dies North Korea and China will require skaters to wear that to maximize their ability to win. He also says that the skateboard prices will go up because economies of scale will no longer apply to a small niche industry - and that this is already happening and this is why completes are $150-200. He also said that he offered to donate the money to the county government to build a public park but they can't because there's too much risk that his political opponents will vandalize the park. He also says that Gifted Hater has more traction in the skate industry/culture, and that's why he's going after him directly

Yeah Dim it's definitely because of go woke go broke not because of overproduction and market saturation during covid then reduced participation post covid. You'd have to be illiterate to take a single one of the fool's takes seriously.

Unfortunately I fear that he's figured out that it doesn't matter as a media organisation you need engagement and a core audience, so outrage pays as long as you are finding that fringe element to support you. After GH puts out his next video with the facts from the locals, hopefully he stops there, stop giving him any shine.

Unless he mans up for the game of skate. That'd be worth a third video.

I'm not watching that video but the comments are 90% against him and his ideas and as usual, pretty much all the skaters are being thoughtful with the comments giving insight into skateboarding culture from the 80's, punk scenes and actually saying gatekeeping is a good thing.
