That camera is not HD

It is HD, its the only "true HD" camera priced in the "pro-sumer" price range (Its like 5000 bucks with no extras). It is the industry standard across all of action sports right now, not somewhere down the road. It can shoot to tape or to P2 cards. Tape is HDV, shooting to P2 is true HD. Tape based video is done, this is and has been the future for a while. I'm quite certain that the entire Lakai video is shot with the HVX considering Ty has been sponsored by Panasonic for a while now. Film has never really been an option for skate vids because its soooo expensive both to buy stock and to process it. Film works for other sports like snowboarding because tricks are landed with greater consistency. You could easily blow hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of film in a single weekend.
