He's a cool guy but you wouldn't have thought that before he got his piece of humble pie. He was at one time a very cocky dude.

Don't really know any. I heard about some outrageous things he said in ftc on a couple different occasions but can't remember. He was always nice to me.

He's really good and cool. I did sense some cockyness at one point  but also know that when you're at the top of your game and your dreams are becoming
reality it's hard sometimes to not be overly excited. This is why I don't hold self cheers against anyone Unless they do it like everytime "like they're proclaiming they're
number #1."  8)

I'll tell you a DG story: before he was sponsored DG was at a session at this place called the warehouse that had been going on for a while and I left for roughly ten minutes to get beer and when I came back he was doing backside nosegrinds to nollie heel out everytime across a box/ledge and he hadn't tried them at all that session.
A natural who I hope does get a second chance.

I met him.

I told him how awesome he was

He smiled.

I thought he needed to know that.

He's one of my favorites.

I think by the "kickflip wallenberg" statement he meant doing anything down it shows a lot of skill and intestinal fortitude. And I'd have to agree.

and I don't think I'd lump gerwer in with puleo and oyola, considering I don't remember the last time either of those dudes did gnar handrail front boards or kickflips down massive sets/gaps etc. Unless you've really widened your hatred to all "mid-late 20 year old white dudes who've been ripping on an am/pro level for a decade plus". In which case, is really lame.
I rarely venture into classic slap and the one time I do it I find a guy getting his dick eaten by a dolphin.

wouldn't that be easier than straight up kickflipping it a la gerwer?
[close]

are you kidding me? You must be one of these gerwer, puleo, oyola jockies. Not only is a kickflip melon harder, he made it look 100 times better than gerwers shitflip.'
I bet you refused to admit chris coles tre flip was cool huh? thought so

I'm not picking sides but I think for that particular gap a straight kickflip would be harder cause a grab will at least keep your feet on your board for you. Either way, it's a nice trick.
thanks for being the voice of reason, Henry. with that much hangtime your board easily drifts from your feet on something like a kickflip. The grab was so he wouldn't have to worry about that.

Danny Gonzales has some butt style on some of his tricks, but I like the fact that he is not afraid to get into doing some tricks that nobody else has done. If he was in his prime now and he didn't have his baggage I could see him being in the same ranks with Haslam and Daewon.
You have me mistaken with someone that is important.

Yes, I'm gay. What of it?
