barcelona hostels&hotels

Leaving to Barcelona in the end of august...I guess hostels&hostels are pretty booked already for august
but if you have any recommedations for a cheap/good location hostel or hotel thanks for the info!

Spend the extra money to get a room with AC.  You'll fuckin' need it to sleep in August.

barcelona mar. its decently priced($16 a night i think) and its right in between macba and parallel on at the bottom of rambla da raval near the big raccoon statue

low budget.

Thanks for everyone I was thinking about taking a hostel near rambla too, good location...yeah it's pretty daamn hot in there but maybe better that way...it's so hot that you cant's sleep and you're forced to get up in the mornings and go skate when having a hangover!

i once stayed at "hostal avinyo", near plaza sant jaume and la rambla, about 5-10 minute skate from macba. it was decent.

i stayed at hotel condado on aribau. it was about a 10 downhill skate to macba. 18 euro a night

I think there are quite a few scattered around; I just winged it and looked for something whilst I was there and didn't have too much trouble finding something near Parrallel that was pretty decent and cheap. Mind you it might pay to check that no major events are happening when you're due to be there - if there are then it might pay to book in advance..

If youre going in the summertime it might be harder to get a hostel but I have been there twice and never stayed at a hostel, you can stay at these bed and breckfast type places which are around the ramblas, basically it is like a hostel because you share a bathroom but you get your own room and it is usually cheaper.  I would stay on la rambla it is centrally located to everything.  MACBA, the university ledges is close enough to skate to and Sants is a skateable distance.  The whole city is pretty easy to get around

I rented an apartment a couple metro stops from rambla 'cause it was cheap and it's pretty chill having a apartment instead of some hostel room...

all the cheap Hostels and Hotels were pretty much booked. THanks to everyone...see you there pals...
