What do you mean by heavy music? It's a really vague term. Do you mean like noothgrush heavy? Or I mean shit, Radiohead actually has some pretty heavy songs.

saw converge a while back. show was good as fuck. hatebreed is solid but after preseverence it all sounds the same, and poison the well fell the fuck off but i cant talk too much shit because im a huge fan of terror even though every cd sounds the same.

I used to almost exclusively listen to death metal and goregrind when I was 13-14. I listen to a wide variety of things now, so I definitely love sludge, and I still pump some goregrind from time to time. I also listen to a lot of grindcore.

I like sludgy crap like Melvins Bullhead and earlier Harvey Milk, Slayer is good too-
what I DON'T like is songs about dragons, hobbits, vikings, or unicorns,
nor do I like high concept metal albums based on Hawthorne or the journey thru the middle passage.
I don't wanna listen to some high-pitched screaming ala Converge,
I don't wanna listen to the Cookie Monster proclaim his devotion to the dark lord,
and I don't wanna listen to any band with an AC/DC fetish.
i also like some music in my music.

Harvey Milk was just crazy...I lived in their hometown
through their best years and their sound live...

i have a seven string guitar tuned to f# thats pretty heavy i guess,,, i pretty much play a majority of thrash,metal, and progressive rock..

the band "pelecin" has some pretty good instrumental metal songs..

i will probablly get laughed at for this but i have been listening to the deftones a little bit lately...
