i had high hopes for brain candy, but i didn't really like it.

remembered it after a couple of years, watched it again and it was awesome. it took time to appreciate.

'bully' is amazing. oozy summer, the glades, jayo felony, jeeps, misogyny, mushrooms, homoeroticism, homocide. bijou phillips, nick stahl, leo fitzpatrick as the hitman. danny renaud and ryan nix could easily have been characters.

i thought the new harry potter movie would be terrible but Voldemorts performance significantly increased the quality of this movie. i also got a good laugh out of some irish kid named shaymus blaming harry for his mom leaving.

Those two star wars films (though I thought the last was pretty good) - that bloody Jar Jar Binks thing is the worst ever film character

Anything Steve Martin has done in the last few years.. Anything Eddie murhpy did after beverley hills: both were funny once..

Donnie darko: I know people like it, but personally I found it all art and no substance: beautifully shot but I found it a let-down after hearing the hype

And there are plenty of shite superhero films out there - one or two are good but most are a complete let-down (I used to read comics a lot when I was a kid)

And most remakes are a let-down.. too many to mention!

And, though it isn't stricly a movie, I'm still bitter about how short and bad that Shortys film was (the one where they were on the run: it was so bleh I forget the name) - I had high expectations of that one...

hard candy was pretty terrible, last king of scotland too. some id disagree with in here though, little miss sunshine wasnt funny at all, but the serious parts were good enough to make it worthwhile. but fear and loathing, and life aquatic? i dont get the hate for them at all, i dont know of one part that isnt amazing in those films

Honestly, I think the opposite about all those movies. I go into it thinking it's going to be god awful, and by the end I was very throughly entertained.

The first two weren't bad, but the third one sucked. They swapped out a decent story for more gore.

I rewatched episode 1 the other night. If you skip the pod race scene and try to ignore Jar Jar it's actual a very good movie. Obi Wan is a ruler and he shows it.

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Shit - I remember when the trailer for this hit the Internet and everyone was going bonkers and shit saying stuff like "episode 1 and 2 sucked, but it looks like Lucas is gonna redeem himself with this one ! ! ! " WRONG! It sucked too (though not as bad as the first two episodes). And whatsup with turning Darth Vader into a pussy at the end? ? ? ? I wonder how much loot LucasFilm had to pay James Earl Jones to wail "nooooooooooooo!" like a fucking idiot?
