Got a small cheap grill to get me through the summer. Roasted tomatoes/onions/garlic/evoo on it, added fresh basil at the end. Ran it through the food processor, let it simmer. Put over penne pasta

I made a cheeseburger but I didn't have a bun so i used a chocolate hot cross bun. It kinda sucked but was interesting. While eating it I realised I'd already done this a couple months ago. Dumb life getin dumber

(I assume that's aimed at my comment above) yes but I got the idea of hotcross bun cheeseburger and had to see how it went.
Love roasting vegetables (like hey turnip, you look like a middle ages buttplug) but I'm no trained chef. I feel like it's gotta be kinda earthy to work properly like pumpkin, potato sweet potato, onion, carrot. anything else I try just goes bad.
Also for eating right now poor man's chicken parmy sandwich. Just cooked a chicken schnitzel melted a slice of cheese on-top, ketchup, salt, pepper and slice of ham. Gonna do no bread and severely reduced meat for a while after easter

DIY dunkaroos! The funfetti icing is better imo. If they only have straight vanilla I tend to get the cinnamon graham crackers to spice it up a little.

Whoa, cinnamon graham crackers and frosting is next level! Not sure I am ready for that. Found my 13 year-old rocking chocolate frosting on pretzels last night.

Stoked for spring/summer to get here so I can finally get some good local fruit. I’m fuckin tired of eating only bananas, oranges and apples. I guess mangos are around but I can’t afford them often. That said tho I’ve yet to have a bad cara cara orange. Looks, smells like grapefruit but tastes like an orange

This reminds me of the breakfast sandwich I just made! My housemate's partner made sweet potato biscuits last night, so I made sandwiches on the leftovers with a hash brown patty, fried egg, and pepperjack cheese. It was pretty good because the biscuits weren't super sweet. Went great with some siracha and coffee.

God there was this place in San Jose that did these incredible surf and turf wet burritos, asada and shrimp. Half green half red sauce. Corona taqueria on 4th and Jackson. Place was so good and cheap. Hope it survived Covid.

Wife made chicken tortilla soup for dinner, eating that.

Found this spot out of town that does wood fired pizza in the basement of a community centre. This is the “3 Little Pigs”, with bacon, ham, bacon jam, spinach, mozzarella and brie. Maybe the best pizza I’ve ever had.

Had to finish off the week of eating on the company dime with a BANG ya dig. Absolute barn burner of a meal. We’re workin with some smoked brisket with bourbon sauce, maple and thyme roasted sweet potatoes, chef’s mac & cheese, and last but not least, some legendary pickled veggies on the side, ya feel me.

Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and asparagus.

I made some hot sauce yesterday with grilled Thai/Serrano/red bell peppers/tomatos. Just a splash of vinegar added it pretty good and smoky
