I made an amazing meal last night.

Got a good deal on short ribs so I made braised short ribs. Braised them with beef stock/red wine w/ carrots, onions garlic and some tomato paste.

Made mashed potatoes, added a little sour cream to them, and also finely chopped a finger hot pepper and through that in to give it some spice and crunch. It was delicious.

First time eating at a Kurdish restaurant.  Got a small beef and small chicken wrap with garlic potatoes.  Wraps were flavoured much like your typical shawarma, but better, in a way I’m not culinarily adept enough to describe.  The Kurdish coffee was gnarly though, next level bitterness.  Still an incredible spot, love places with soft piano music playing.

A food truck suckered me out of 20 bucks for 6 of the absolutely tasteless 2 inch long eggrolls I've ever had. It was supposed to be a whole eggroll food truck festival and first dude just fucked me up

family came to visit from beast coast and brought me a bunch of linguicia (Portuguese smoked sausage). spicy and mild. sliced it up, fried in butter, mixed in a couple eggs, made a sandwich. taste of home for sure.
