Yea, just get the onions cooked(pan or pot), toss in the garlic, then some lemon juice, salt pepper and cumin. You can add whatever beans then, white kidney beans work well and cook really fast, chick peas are good too but I add water to keep it from getting dry before the chickpeas are cooked. Bean medley's are awesome in it too but you cant really get the chickpeas cooked before the other beans start to disintegrate slightly. I put the Parsely in last so it stays dark greeny cooked kinda looking but not pale and greenish grey. Best of luck on your future falafel endeavors!
edit: oh and its also good because you can vary the texture/thickness alot depending on what you want to eat it with!
