Haha, true enough.

I was surprised by his 16 or 17 stair switch flip in the new Skateboard mag.  In a Supra ad, no less.

too much jake rosenburg trying to cement ternasky's historical reputation.  i'm sure he was a good soul, but the whole motivator thing doesn't really resonate with what i like about skating.  but hey, he probabaly did have a lot to do with skating's rapid progression in those days. i wanted to hear more about duffy's sf drunk days.

I have that issue of thrasher a couple years ago where he talks about how much he loved Ternasky. And then he goes on to talk about how much he respects Jamie Thomas and how he doesn't understand what's not to like about him. Maybe that's just him being nice, since he quit, but still...
I think it's just Grecs kissing ass 'cause Jaimie's got so much pull in the industry. Plus it's the frat thing again. You're hard pressed to get someone who's in the inside to talk shit about someone who's on the inside. Sure, there's some sarcasm and tongue and cheek, but true shit talking? Rare. Even with Tim O', he's got that "it's all in fun" vibe just to cover his ass.

You might be right, but I think it's pretty acceptable to make fun of Jamie...the stuff O'Connor was saying about him in that Later'd episode didn't seem 'all in fun' to me.

Greco up until that interview didn't always speak respectfully of Jamie if my memory holds. The first time I remember reading Greco complimenting Jamie sine his zero days (or ever?) was when he remarked how impressed he was by Jamie's skating in Dying to Live

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Put this out on dvd and I'd buy it. Pat does a great job on putting stuff together. It;d be sick if he did episodes on companies and stuff. Like one on girl and chocolate, how it started, who started it etc.
