got two today on a random spur of the moment thing.

fs 50 to bs bv and bs 50 to fs bv (which was surprisingly much, much harder).

may well never do either again, lol.

Finally landed a couple fs crooked grinds.  Floating on air right now.

Nice, I can do them in the slappy version on a good day. Crooks (FS or BS) on a ledge completely elude me.

Not new because I could already do them, but I start to get BS 50 50s dialled.
why come?

I thought slappy fs crooks would be easier to learn than ollieing into them, but I was surprised that ollieing into them is much easier for me.  I have no rationale for why any of this is the case.

backside 5050s

not necessarily a new trick since I had them 10-15 years ago but I lost them and have been scared of them for a while.

pretty hyped now cause should open up some new trick possibilities like bs 5-0, kickflip bs 5050 and maybe learn bs smiths

Circa 94 - Boardslide transfers over a spine. I was 30 so I had already started losing some tricks, but I'm pretty sure this is the last new trick I learned. Maybe it was a hip check slider over pump bumps, but that was a few years later and I'm not even sure that counts as a trick?

Learned switch wallie fs 180 a little while back. I'm not sure if i've pulled any jack swing since then. I'd like to start doing some kind of boardslide 270, not sure if regs or switch is the way of the walk. Could be nollie lip? But i will be endeavoring towards spinning out.

Fakie/nollie lip 270 is rad cause when you turn in you’ve already got the momentum needed to spin out too. Super fun on a double sided curb and transferring over to the side with the 270

Front smith tailgrab in transition. Haven't tried it on pool coping yet but i imagine it will be satisfying.

Stall on your heel and put all your weight on your toes when you roll in. It’s the unlock to pivot fakie

I finally did a Rickflip (fakie big heel flip)  on a hip at the SK8 park. I told myself after I land this I’m out, then landed it perfect. The other trick I did before this one was fs pivot to board to fakie on a QP. That one was shit and Had a bad momentum to it.
I think I’m calling it a PDF from now on ( pivot deck fakie)
I want to do a nice fast FS PDF

I thought I‘d give fakie kickflips a try today and rolled away from some. Not nice ones but at 46 year old I gladly take every new trick, even more flip trick.

Switch heelflip and switch front board to regular. Switch heel has been a long time coming, but the switch front board to regular came a bit more naturally.

Yeah, I've always loved that trick too. Not sure I could ever figure it out myself but they might be a little easier than they look.

I almost got fs tailslides on ledges back today. Did a shitty one to fakie but wanna get them nice and fast to regular like how I had them many moons ago. At this point in life, I count relearning a trick just the same as learning a new one lol

What the others said, that'd be a dream. Like some other posters I've just learned slappy crook. Regular crooks have evaded me but some decade and a half of skating later I can slappy into them. It's all I've wanted to do lately. Feels good man.

Front or back, to regs or fakie? I need more information  ;)
