Ok, anyone wanna let me in on the secret of front shuvs? Like Scott Johnston in Penal Code or Lucas Puig in that recent clip (yes, it was switch) style? My regular ones have sucked, and continue to suck, forever.

It's all in the scoop of the backfoot. That's all I can say. I'm terrible when it comes to descriptions.

This, and pick your front foot up and out of the way to be ready for the catch. Also for no discernible reason I have always found them easier when skating my board backwards.

Get your back foot in that scooping pocket, scoop it with all your might, and let the board guide itself to your front foot.

Back on topic: After getting super close to rick flips for the longest time, I dedicated a whole sesh to trying to learn them a couple nights ago and I finally rode away on two of them! So hyped. They're still pretty sketchy looking, but hopefully I should have them looking cleaner soon.

frontboard shove out. Well I just got a foot on it but it's getting closer. It's such a simple trick i can't believe I hadn't thought of trying to learn it sooner.

Finally learned how to ollie like someone who is 6'5. My ollies were never really low but since I'm so tall I feel like the expectations for my ollies are so much higher(no pun intended).

Spent a good 2 hours at the park this morning starting at 7am before a single person showed up. Nice to have all that real estate to myself. Dialed kickflip back tail on the mini and varial kickflip nose grind on the ledge box.
