Front blunts on tranny. Been trying that fucking shit for a solid 5 years... probably 10k-15k failed attempts for sure. Started getting super close 6 months ago and was sure I'd start riding away with it any day. 6 months later was still making 0 progress. So many days I was like "this is it... gonna get that shit today.... not leaving til I land one", only to fail. Then a couple days ago I was actually thinking that it might just not be in the cards for me... maybe I should accept that I'd never get it. But minutes later I apparently did something different and was riding away from it for the first time. Mind blown. So fucking stoked. Got 5 that day. Only on 3 foot mini, but whatever, haven't been this psyched on skating in probably 2 years. Got a couple on a 4 footer yesterday and got a lot more consistent on the 3 foot today. FUCK YES.
That is my favorite qp trick. The secret is to come at a f/s angle and jam your wheels so you can bounce back quickly. Your shoulders just naturally seem to go around and board follows

I know you didn't ask for advice but I recently learned that also, just sharing the stoke

Blew out my knee twice and just recently started skating again. Today I relearned kickflips (regular and fakie); pop shove its (regular and fakie); and varial kickflips (regular).

Nollie back 5-0.  I relearned it in three tries after not doing one for probably eight years.

never thought i'd learn hardflips, did one first try when a kid set one the other day, now they just make sense. used to hate that trick, now when i watch people do them i'm stoked, like i'm in the hardflip brotherhood or something, trying to pick up on the little things.

learned ice plant/beanplant fakies or whatever on a three foot mini. learned how to jump in off the deck in the switch beanplant position and just turned around and learned them to fakie. still a little weird stalling them and coming back in but i did a few. it's a whole new ballgame of balls going up from a three footer to four footer, though

Sick! Good shit, dude!
For some reason they're so hard to do for me. I get maybe one every 15 tries. Pretty much almost a guaranteed letter in SKATE for me everytime.

Cool, what'd you learn it on? I don't recall there being a flatbar at the Memphis park.

I skate to the skatepark, work, or both pretty much every day so I also do it to try to prevent extreme wear on only one sole of my shoes.

Pole Jams...So fun and gnarly but scary and annoying too. ^ I'm finally feeling comfortable pushing switch to set up for fakie shit. I don't do switch tricks, but at least I don't push "fakie mongo" anymore hahaha.

I noticed that you have your foot pointed totally forward...I don't know if that's how push regular/goofy normally, but I can only push switch if my foot is pointed forward like that for some reason. I don't even pay attention to how my foot is when I'm pushing regular, but I have to focus on my foot pointing forward when pushing switch...
