Backside 180 no complies...On a few of them I've had to keep on turning on my back wheels so they end up being 360's but the "pop" is only 180.

nope.

Yep.
[close]
A ghetto bird is a nollie hard flip late back 180.
[close]
I thought it was a regular hardflip late back 180?
[close]
I think you may be right, actually I think we both may be correct. I have seen both called Ghetto Birds and both attributed to Kareem Campbell. The hard flip late back 180 was on flat and the nollie hard late 180 was on a bank, he named it so I guess it could be any variation of the two.

at least we can all agree that a ghetto bird is definately not a front bigspin.

Needs a "Last new trick you did, but didn't necessarily learn" thread.

So yesterday I did backside flip, but I hate BS 180s/ollies. Have to really focus on my shoulder, naturally I turn FS.

But I did figure out BS spinouts. Ollie/body varial, pivots so far, but fun.

I'm having a time with bigspins. My front ones are gross and 270 and I pivot the rest of the way and my backside ones go almost all the way but I land maybe 45 degrees off and just stick. Any advice on either of these? I've watched a lot of Marquise Preston's bigspins in his Stay Gold part but I can't get that rotation

try one off the side of a sidewalk so you get more time to complete the rotation

Crook to pop out mid-ledge.  This shit has driven me ape shit since 1995.  I'd either land primo or just gross.  I got 'em popping like a nollie out now.  Stoked.

I did front smith 180 on a rail. I have more trouble making sure the smith doesn't turn into a lipslide doing it on the rail rather than a ledge.

Somebody posted a clip on here of some guy on HUF doing a switch backside 5050 with a frontside 180 out in the middle of the ledge.  Well that got me stoked and I did it today but not switch

bs180 nosegrinds, if you can do fs noseslides to fakie its pretty much the same thing just turn a bit more into the noseslide
