Did a couple body varial switch crooks on a bank yesterday. I had seen Louie do them to fakie smith and always wondered how it would work to jump and and just yank it up. Pretty fun!

nice one, i remember struggling to pull one out of my ass many years ago (2007 ?), i remember i was hyped too. getting a clean bigspin out of that position is actually surprisingly hard !

today i relearned nollie frontside lipslide 270's on ledges (hadn't even tried one since 2004), it's a weird looking one because you really do everything off the nose. then just before calling it a day, while messing around i realized i could do f/s lipslide to no-comply tailslide every try and eventually kickflipped out of one just to see if it was doable, and it wasn't pretty. left the spot wishing i had learned b/s smiths like ungzilla above just did instead.

step hop rad clips, i know instagram kids have been abusing them lately and all but body varials out of ledge stuff (especially lipslides) will always mostly remind me of armando barajas (brought up his name to an older dude i saw the other day who was doing nollie impossibles in the wild - he hadn't heard it in so long he was stoked !)

I'm finally getting nollie heels, it feels great, nose manuals are onlock pretty much now and  my consistency has really improved. getting a lot of tricks down in general. i guess skating your ass off really does pay out in the end. last week at the park which i rarely get to go to i heard some guy say to his friend "my god, the consistency" hell yes  8)

so yeah, I just learnt back slappies, can now lock into the k-grind version and am slowly getting my switch crooks back (albeit on very low ledges), maybe I should start trying feeble slappies too? Backside easier?

i had done them before the fake way [lift your front truck and 'fall' into the curb] but today i was just plowing into the curb like i had a passport.

noice, they feel great once they are locked in but so awkward to pop out back to forwards, going to fakie is almost intuitive on them

you're right about that gism but i tend to come out of crooks fakie anyways unless off the end of a ledge.
so yesterday on a parking block i learned/landed a gang of switch blunt stalls to finger shove it [slob varial?] in.
i can't skate tranny and this isn't gonna work on a slide but maybe if i find a curb atop a bank?
like you're in sw blunt and you grab the tail and throw it like a sw fs shove it and meet up on the ground.
me and colin were talking about learning sw grabs this yr, that might be my booby prize.

Finally learned bs noseblunts, but only on a flatbar for now. Can't seem to translate it to a ledge yet. And tips for that?

Well I watched some trick tip basically saying use a crack and practice just an Ollie and landing in a noseblunt position. Sounds silly but it's pretty much like a backside lip, but I put my front foot just behind my top bolts so it's on my nose when I lock in. Also, hearing someone describe it as a Ollie over to frontside noseslide made it make more sense to me.
Maybe I'm just so cool I wanna die.

Deffinetly not a expert since i've only done a few, but ollieing way higher than you think you should is key for me.
That and committing to trying it.

Working on this on a tiny curb at the moment and agree with everything said here. My greatest fear is getting stuck and landing on my back on the edge and end of the curb.

Finally learned slappy feeble on this painted parking block near my house. Stoked. Feels super good when they're grinding
