shouldve learned it earlier but shocked at how easy half cab noseslides are

I think they are sick if you go fast and do them to fakie again. Learned back tails to regs on ledge just now and wonder why I didnt do earlier (like 20 years ago). Fucking shoulders it is.

this! Sounds weird but it’s like a switch nollie tail slide to me. I also do the frontside version like I’m doing a switch nollie back tail

yeah but you officially become old when you do them.

I used to think that too and would never do them, and then I saw Dom Henry do them. Rob Welsh-styled pop outs and everything, making it look like a different trick altogether. So I started trying them like that, never quite got the hang of it and now can say I officially grew older because of Dom Henry.

Feeble rock fakie on a qp. Took me like a week of going early in the morning to the skatepark. The park is next to a dilapidated building with sketchy tenants who stumble around outside. Plus, it's apparently developed a bee problem. There are bees everywhere and they follow you. It sucks.

I know it's an easy-ass trick that kids can do in their sleep. But for some reason, I couldn't get my body positioned to roll out of the rock fakie after dropping into it from a feeble stall (which also took forever). I'd practice feeble stalls and decked-out rock fakies, then totally lose all that muscle memory. My back foot would always come off, it's such a bitch.

Of course today, as soon as I got to the park, four more duders came like five minutes after me. And of course everyone was ripping. It's a pretty small park and there's seven of us in it. So I'm trying to learn this trick - and it's all I'm trying since I don't want to waste time, because I have adult responsibilities to attend to - and everyone's flying around me, I'm trying not to get in anyone's way, I take a hard slam when I hit a fucking pebble, and then it finally happens. So I did three of them, then I dipped. I'm happy, though. It's finally in the books.

I'm looking for a nice manny pad to try one of these on (my "switch front 360 ollies" are essentially me doing this trick on flatground)

Not even sure what you'd call it, but I learned to fly out and manual on the platform to roll-in on transition. I've always been bad at tranny, but I live near a Grindline park now and I'm getting into it.

Landed my first frontside flip last night. I had landed on some before, but there was always a hand drag. I'd never done one of these in my youth, so learning it at 44 felt pretty cool.

Slappy noseslide. It was...easy. The hard thing is going to be doing them with speed and sliding them a good distance. Hopefully I can film a line with one before the end of the month.

got my first ever 3flip going at on ok-ish speed w/out toe/heel/tail drag or hand touch today.

first time i've put an actual effort into learning it in 15 years and i got in about 40 minutes.

just had to wait for longer legs!

me of 15 years ago would be glad to know that i do in fact go to the grave with at least one under my belt.

also recently learnt fs lip slides, slappy tails and ss pop shuvs

relearnt bs flips (nine years on since my last one) which is my all time fave trick and got my fakie kf's and hf's going too

the reboot has been really fun so far.

I finally learned how to ollie.

I just started skating last month, and practiced ollies here and there, but I couldn't wrap my head around it. I watched a movie, smoked a little bit, zoned out, and I broke it down and figured it out. I woke up the next morning, went out in the driveway, and did two back-to-back after warming up. Then I blew a massive hole in the side of my Vans practicing.

Thanks, man. I have a short list of things I want to learn this year after I really get ollies nailed down and I feel confident about them. I want to be able to get up onto a rail and 50-50, learn shuvits, and I want to learn how to boneless and casper stall - just tricks I thought were cool when I was a kid.

skated a small flatbar with some friends this past weekend and learned fakie front nosegrinds as well as fakie ollie to back bluntslides.

Tried to learn bigspin front board kickflip on the same flatbar but only got close to landing a handful. Also cracked my board in the process
