New episode is on now. You think they're gonna make up for the lost tension between Pam & Jim by switching the focus to Toby wanting to get with Pam? I think that would kinda be a mistake, since part of what made the Pam/Jim thing good was the fact that you were never sure if Pam was into him too, but with Toby you know that nothing is going to happen between the two of them.

Did anyone else notice that part where Brian said that Caron asked him out? I was surprised that that didn't come into play later in the episode. If that's true, than that's a pretty big thing, cause she would have been with Jim when that happened, but the writers presented it really subtly.

I don't know why I've never watched this show. I saw the new episode tonight and found it hilarious. Perhaps I need to reacquaint myself with the television.

they actually sort of allude to this in one of the last episodes of season three, "women's appreciation day", the one where michael goes to the mall with his office girls. the office guys are in the women's bathroom and jim talks about how it's his sixth month anniversary with karen. the rest of the guys laugh as ryan tells jim that everyone thought that they were just hooking up as opposed to seriously dating. jim handles it well and tells them that he is, in fact, dating karen.

ryan than goes to talk about how he emailed karen awhile back asking if she wanted to go out with him and how she gave him the typical "i dont date guys from the office" reply.

i like how this season they are showcasing how much of a yuppie piece of shit ryan really is, because it's something that was always there from the begining.

does this show give anyone else really bad second hand embarrassment? not in the way ryan sheckler does, but like, when michael says something regular, do you also feel awkward? almost like you are there? im like 5 minutes in and ive felt it twice. i love this show.

Yeah, part of what makes this show so great and relateable is how well they convey that feeling. And I don't mean to be one of those people that always talks about how the British version is better, I actually like the American one better, but that feeling of secondhand embarrassment is even more palpable in the original series.

Did Jan lose her boobs? Did they mention something about this and I missed it? They don't seem as big now.

Yeah, I know that she didn't really get implants, but I figured that for the sake of continuity of the show, that Jan's would remain large.
And thanks for the head's up Shawn.
