Fuck what I said, I just bought a 360 elite to play Halo3.  Holy fucking shit!  For those that already don't know, the new 65nm chipset is in the Halo edition xbox 360s.  What does that mean?  It means your 360 won't be insanely hot like the rest of the 360s out there and you shouldn't have to worry about internal meltdown like the old hardware.

how do you know 1987? does it say falcon or anything on the box, or just because its noticably quieter? im waiting till i know i can get a new model but they dont announce shit

i just googled it.  It's confirmed that there is a Falcon chip in it.   Microsoft isn't confirming it because they need to sell through the old consoles.

Correctamundo.  How else is M$ going to move all their old consoles if they make it easy for people to see if it's a Zephyr or Falcon chip.  They're no longer marked, but apparently lot 734 is the magic number.  Anything after that should have a different heatsink indicating the new chipset.  http://www.console-exploits.com/forums/showthread.php?p=89859.

PS3 has got so few good titles it hardly seems worth it, Xbox 360 100%. I miss the days of the PS1, that thing had hundreds of games.
