Hyped for new parts from Heath, Kalis, Reider, Omar, AVE, Dyrdek, Taylor, and maybe Dill
What's wrong with Dylan?
'The kid might be a skilled and vigorous ripper, but bottomline, the last twin oracle one has to ultimately pass before turning pro is 'am I bringing a unique perspective to the office?' Theoretically, I think a dude can appropriately go pro at either Chris Branaugh or Chris Roberts, but if skill and trend riding is a guy's total portfolio, it's time to marinate a little longer (or forever). Originality might have been easier in the '90s when it was more linear trick progression or whatever, and rely increasingly on trick selection, spot selection, and style as time goes by, but whatever does it, I think should be a requirement. You don't need to reinvent the wheel or run up stairs, just carve your own niche. Crailgrabs and Edpossible appropraition as senior thesis does not a pro make.'
additionally, the implications of his jaunty little fountain valley, newsboy hat persona doesn't really aid his case as a viable skate voice of today or tomorrow too well either.
You know, something about that kid always rubbed me wrong. I think you just put into words the doubt I could not previously verbalize in the boy. Decent style though.
And I hope to god Dill's part is a little more skate more and A LOT LESS mosaic.
Dill in mosaic could be the worst video part of all time.
I watched mosaic with a friend last night and he justified it by saying "he's encouraging kids to go out and push..."
as if there is any other way kids are propelling the damn things.
