Epic. I really want an MJ wall board again.

I'm sure this has probably been asked a dozen times here but there's lots of pages... how are you guys mounting your boards? I bought some of these Sk8ology wall mounts but they don't fit through the deck holes and they recommend drilling the holes out which seems mighty dangerous. I actually tried it on an old deck just to see and it fucked the deck up.

Shoelace thru the deck holes and thumbtack behind the nose.

I was also wondering what the best way to hang up a single deck is. Does the thumbtack stay and not get dragged out by the weight of the board?

For vertical decks just a regular picture hanger type nail and then 2 looped pieces of either dental floss or fishing line through the holes.  For horizontal decks, two hanger nails.

Hasn't happened to me yet in the last 10 years, I used both kinds too, the hourglass shape and the flat ones.

I love that Don is still out there doing deck design, as his designs were a high point of Alien Workshop’s art.

Very true!

I just bought two of his DARKROOM decks (7.75's - one to hang and one to skate).

And this Dill came in!

It's in pretty rough condition but I'm happy to finally add this to my collection. Paint is coming off slightly but I ain't complaining.

Rob Welsh was in the first skate magazine I ever owned, most of the tricks in the interview were used in Ride of Dye.

Thanks guys.

If you like that corner you would love the rest of my house but I am not trying to brag.  I am just a dude who has fond memories of skating and was able to carve a nice life out for myself.   FTC is just a part of the nostalgia for me.

Here is the other set which isn't my favorite but I picked it up anyway sometime ago.

There is an OG set on EBAY for $10K but I think the lines line up on those.   https://www.ebay.com/itm/Western-Edition-Victorian-Set-Skateboard-Decks-Limited-Edition-San-Francisco-FTC-/112483425931

That eBay listing has been in there forever. His price is obviously too high. I still can’t believe I got that set on EBay for $250 like years back. Someone was trying to dump it and seemed desperate to get rid of it.

There is a black one too:

I wonder what percentage of western editions board sales go directly to wall hanger.

Not complaining, i’d do the same.

Boards are cool especially if you designed them.

This was made for a local company who wanted something in the vein of the old AWS graphics and that had something to do with sustainability and ecology. SInce the owner is a bald guy I thought this was pretty cool.
He did too.

Silkscreened in 3 colors.

Fell victim to the whole big pants small wheel stage. Going to goodwill and getting size 42 waist.
But the dumbest was making flatspots on purpose so it sounded like I was skating EMB at my local.

I haven't managed to get my boards up since I moved 2 years ago (a shame) and have many, many more boards. My wife says too many, but that's just silly. These are my 3 favorite, and I do have a Jason Lee Foghorn reissue and Chris Pastras monster reissue that I've skated to add next to these when I finally do pull them out of storage.

Rudy board is sick. I probably would only hang boards from this era if I had any. I've got a signed Cardiel and signed Mullen board. That's it as far as hangers.
