i dont like them, but what people have been saying on here is really harsh. i honestly doubt id notice if i saw someone skating those shoes, they look pretty much like every other shoe out there, just tweaked a little. if you want to talk about obnoxious footwear just look at supra and ice cream. this is just below average footwear, as the name suggests, not shoes that make me want to gouge out my eyes.

Some of the colorways are bad, I just think they're extremely ordinary... which isn't entirely a bad thing I guess. I could wear the white, silver or brown Ethans, as well as any of the Miguel's. I'd have to see them in person though.

I agree with everyone critical about the lack of vulcs... really strange, especially considering the high tops and the slip ons (which kind of beg for it).

I'm still so sad about this.......I had all three of his pro shoes and when I was younger, ethan was what I thought of when I thought "vans".......they are still giving boring old omar hassan pro-models and ethan has to be on beloe.......ugh...........I was really hoping for him to get on the new puma thing with scott bourne after seeing that sequence of him wearing some on the ollie to dog dodge....

supra has a dumb image but a couple of great designs - i never had a pair but there are some i wouldn't mind purchasing if they were on sale.

beloe, on the other hand, is a company i can never see myself purchasing from. ever.

why should everything take time? maybe build quality or material selection...but designs? fuck no. designs are cumulative, a collection of inspirations from the designers first favourite shoes, to everything being released at the moment. a designer doesn't start from square 1. it's not a school project, it's a fucking business requiring a fair bit of capital to get the manufacturing wheels in motion in asia and shipping and distribution. this company looks like it's fucked itself from the get go. utterly clueless to the point where a kid in the street could design something more successful and creative. there is absolutely NO excuse for poor designs.

These shoes def. have a bad shape from what I can see, but seriously, isn't it time for some non vulcanized shoes? Remember 2 years ago when kids didn't even know what vulcanized meant? Now every shoe on the shelf of the shop is vulcanized, there's no other option now.

there are plenty of cup soled shoes available, half of lakais line is still cup.
