Yeah we know Nike is fucking lame. But you know what: I'll pay a little bit of cash to support the skaters that they in turn support. If someone out there is cutting the likes of Chet Childress, Gino, Todd Jordan, Shimizu and Clark Hassler hefty paychecks based on their skating, then you know what: those dudes deserve it. I have no problems putting this shit online as soon as I get it though. Nike doesn't need the money, but I'm glad they hook up the dudes that they do. And let's not even get into how many skateshops now manage to stay afloat and compete with mall/chain stores thanks to SB accounts.

The (skate) word isn't black and white, it's shades of grey. I suppose you have to pick your battles though.

I've never been offered anything. That's a tough question being that I've never made shit. And I never blamed the skaters. In fact, I keep posting that P Rod is the best, and I believe that.

Not at all. But it's real easy to hate on something and call them out for all their terrible practices, but forget to look at any of the good stuff they may or may not have done for skateboarding. That's all I'm saying. I doubt that every shoe in your closet is made by hand in a developing country where everyone is treated fairly and paid according to the work and hours they put into the labour. That's not to say you shouldn't point out these things, it's a good and valid point. But unless you're actively doing something to try and fight these negative situations and practices you keep pointing out, it's kind of pointless flogging this horse. I agree with what you're saying but for me to go all holier-than-thou about it would make me a total fucking hypocrite. I have one pair of Nikes, a bunch of Adidas, and a truck load of Vans. None of those companies do shit for the people who crank out their merchandise.

I think what they do for skating is for your support. It's also belittled by how they treat the people that work at their factories. Sure, Adidas and most other shoe brands seek 3rd world countries to get their goods made but that's pinching the penny enough for them, but not Nike. They're not just satisfied with that. They even have to pay below their minimum wage, which is straight out GREEDY! No other major brand company has that many complaints filed from workers. Don't you think something's not right when people in 3rd world countries aren't satisfied with their treatment? If that's not modern day slavery I honestly don't know what is.

And for your information, I don't feel the need to hold signs in the air with a loud speaker. I'm doing something positive by pointing out NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH to kids who purchase Nike.
