i don't know which is which but where ever anti hero bueno black label and tum yeto are made is where its at
[close]

hah! all of those are 4 different kinds of wood. anti hero is bareback, bueno is some new wood i don't know, black label is/was? ps stix and tumyeto is watson wood.
[/quote

I'm pretty sure Bueno is PS Stix , also I don't see anything wrong with mexican wood shops, its only a few miles south of SD and I see no difference in mexicans making decks there vs  mexicans making decks in Cali

DLX every board that I ride. Riding a Busenitz now, looking at a Real logo 8 inch for my next one.

I'm on my 3rd Girl board in a row, and they were ALL sick as fuck. I think it's blown out of proportion. China wood is as good as any other. And I've skated mostly DLX for about 15 years.

I though this was about board games.  I don't care where they make Scrabble boards.  I'll take one from Usbekistan, who gives a shit...

i only buy boards if im certain that a sufficient amount of slave labor is used in their creation. that way you dont have to worry about a board being made on a friday afternoon having worse quality.

If actual skateboarders were building boards then it matters, but usually it is cheap mexican labor and if thats the case then who cares.
ps stix quality has dropped wayyyyy below the acceptable level and bareback/generator is batting about .600 lately as about every other board i set up breaks in less than a week.i suppose there are way too many factors involved but after it is all said and done i'd prefer us made but i won't boycott something if it isn't.

China wood blows.

There is a reason why its cheaper.

Had a Gino cause I dug the shape and snapped that shit in 3 sessions.

I ride mostly 5Boro or Traffic with no problems.

I've skated a few boards from the Jart woodshop and I really like them.  Light enough and strong.

I usually ride Chapman or DLX. The only Chinese made decks I've ridden were from two different Louisiana-based brands and bot of them had their issues.

If its good quality, I don't really care where its made. I will say however, I haven't ridden a good quality one from China yet. I've ridden maybe one or two Girl/Choco boards over the last couple years because they had a good shape, but the pop was dead in a few days and I've seen lots of kids break them really easily.
exactly my position on this, i really dont care where my deck is made but ALL the chinese decks i had were pretty bad, i had a Girl that lost its pop in a few weeks and felt like a soggy piece of shit, gave it to a friend who broke it pretty quickly. had an Enjoi which didnt last more then a month, razor tailed in a few weeks and felt like shit
i really dont mind if my deck is not made in the USA aslong as its good, i usually ride DLX stuff because its really good and i dont care its made in mexico. good shit.
i try to evoid chinese manufactured decks, a true waste of money.

Chapman has REALLY good wood. Greg is a really nice guy and has hooked me up numerous times in the past with boards. Chapman rocks.

i've had two boards in the last couple years that were from china-wood-usin companies, one flip and one girl. the flip was really terrible. second day skating it the board shot out into a wall and chipped the nose bad. the pop was gone after a week and I switched it out a few days later. it really was the worst board I've had in probably ten years.

the girl i'm skating right now, i got it cuz the shape was good and i liked that the graphic didn't cover the entire bottom of the deck, so i can enjoy some classic blue-dyed woodgrain. this board has been pretty great actually. it's more or less dead now, cuz i've been skating it over a month, and it chipped a little faster than the boards i usually skate, but not enough to dissuade me from getting another girl board.

i should add that i almost never break boards. but i do apparently land hard enough to get pressure cracks in every board i have, and bend the axles of my trucks somehow. also i don't really skate stairs or anything gnarly. so uhh yeah. r kelly is touring again soon, with neyo and bunch of other idiots

I am skating my first chinese deck ever right now.  i bought it because it is shop deck from a shop a friend owns.  Before that i pretty much only
skate cape fear decks that are pressed in North Carolina.  they are cheap, really good and a local company so everything works out.

if it does matter what wood it is, it doesnt matter for me because like most of you, dlx is where it is at. or NHS. good companies that are worth buying their board dont use china wood. gay companies you wouldnt buy anyway are the ones with chinawood, like element. yuck!
