If its good quality, I don't really care where its made. I will say however, I haven't ridden a good quality one from China yet. I've ridden maybe one or two Girl/Choco boards over the last couple years because they had a good shape, but the pop was dead in a few days and I've seen lots of kids break them really easily. I usually ride Bareback shop decks, which I'm pretty sure are made right over the border in Mexico, because they have good shapes, decent pop and they seem to be consistent as far as quality. Occassionally I'll splurge on an Alien or Habitat deck though because that PS Stix wood is SOOO stiff and poppy.
*disclaimer: I work at a skateshop so I don't pay retail. If I was paying full price I would definitely wouldn't be riding Chinese boards at their current quality...
