wheels dont usually flatspot for me that much anymore, but they wear down pretty quickly. im on the "new set every two months" program. its working out pretty well for me.

Can someone explain how the fuck you all flatspot your wheels? I powerslide all the time, and mine never flatspot. I still have the first set of wheels I ever owned set up on a board I use for skating in the rain, and they haven't flatspotted after all these years.. granted they're probably like 15mm's now, but shit what the fuck do you all do like 80 foot bluntslides?

I just don't get it...

edit: come to think of it, I doubt I could make a pair of wheels flatspot if I tried... I've done some mean powerslides and my wheels just turn while i'm sliding so the wear is pretty evenly distributed. Maybed you guys skate some soft peice of shit wheels... I dont even wana look at anything less than 99a personally

I get a new set about...every 2 months or so? Maybe every month and a half. I'll try Fast Life, but for the record, Satori's have never failed me.

For me, almost all of my flatspots come from skating concrete tranny (reverts or coming in fucked up, sliding around). Sometimes, and especially with STFs, I can get a little flatspot in the bowl, go skate street for a couple of hours, and then go back to the park and be smooth again.

piling is also overwhelming my desire to skate lately too. something's just more appealing about laying down and watching seinfeld all day than skating. might be the never ending rain.

Uh, anything less than 99a would flatspot LESS.  And just to let you in, your wheels dont spin while you are powersliding.

a month, maybe two.  i don't flatspot as long as i'm on spits or autobahn, but those moments of stupidity when i bought cheap rictas or golds were painful.  the golds literally lasted less than one minute before a sesh-ending flatspot.

i can go longer without a new set when my financial situation is less than favorable, but it just makes getting used to a new set of wheels that much more frustrating.  new 53s don't pop like worn-down 49s...

dont slide your tricks your wheels should last till the bearings.  On that note I always replace mine every month or so, so I dont have to deel with the dirty yellow wheels.
