FYI, bastien's was like i said,about 7 years ago.and also, he got on at the very beggining of the rail,as opposed to this kid where you can tell he gapped the fuck out.yes i know this rail is pretty gnarly,but still gives no excuse for there being no progression since Sorry.but,it ofcourse was one of,if not the,most influential videos of all time.the only reason i made the comment above is because they are making a new video which is highly anticipated and everyone thinks this kid's part will be so gnarly,when his skating is worse then bastien's was that long ago.i think i can speak for alot of people when i say it's a disappointment that bastien salabanzi is gone,and this kid is his replacement.

Ya I want a Bastien part more than that of any other skater probably, but that doesnt make me any less stoked on this kid. He has a level of creativity (although not apparent in this picture) that Bastien didnt have.

Yeah a Bastein part would be sick, but I don't see the point of comparing him to David Gonzales.  They are both talented as fuck and but they are two totally different skaters.  I have liked a lot of the tranny footage of David Gonzales more than Bastien and I find his style better than Bastien's too, but when it comes down to it I don't know that there will be too many other guys who can skate handrails like Bastien ever.  Bastien getting off flip was his own doing, to expect that they would be able to replace his talent with somebody who is equally as good in the same aspects is unreasonable.
