mac problem
« on: January 06, 2008, 04:22:27 AM »
invested in a macbook for christmas
have a problem- i installed leopard, and all that but for some reason my user is not set as the administrator.
im happy to completely reload the whole computer but i tried yesterday by reinstalling it by putting the 2 mac OSX install discs which took about 1 and a half hours and at the end it just started up the computer with all my programs still loaded but no question as to whether i want to be the admin.
does anyone know how to completely reinstall the mac to scratch
thanks guys in advance, any help is appreciated

call up the nearest apple store and make an appointment for the "genius bar"  those dudes are coincidentally enough very knowledgeable and can probably help you easily.  what are you are looking to do in a nutshell is reformat the computer, which i have no idea how to do.

$1,199.99 retail but came to about $1,400.00 after tax and i needed the airport device to get wireless internet in my house.  and yes, it's my second best investement over $1,000 only behind my car.
