I can't stand ska shit period.
However well French Fred made it work in Bon Appetit I can't skate to Godspeed You Black Emperor or any post rock for that matter.
Just about anything is fair game for me, prefer slower to faster though.

I don't skate to music anymore (I hate not being able to hear what's going on around me and don't go to indoor parks) but the only music that I listen to but haven't skated to is Tom Waits.

Actually Every time I skate, I try to listen to hip hop, but always revert back to Metal.  Don't know why.

Beirut and Final Fantasy, i usually listen to them a lot in the winter while sitting in the sun room while drinking coffee and reading literature, its a very Tuscan atmosphere that all comes together nicely, defiantly cant skate to it, it just makes me want to drink coffee and relax, but then sometimes something gnarly slips into my play list and breaks the whole mood and i have to grab my board and hit the streets
