How's the ankle support on the huppers? my ankles are nagging me and I want some support without having to look down at a shoe that I hate. I have busenitz and was skating those today hoping the heel cup would help to no avail

as opposed to buying new shoes id say you should buy some of those cheap lil athletic braces for your foot, putting it OVER your sock. that alone will keep your ankle alot more stable without restricting too much movement. i used to wear em for basketball all the time and it definitely keeps some of the aching at bay while still being active.

non-existent.  I really like the huppers, but the ankle is thins and floppy like a normal canvas chuck taylor hi top.  Here's a picture that kind of shows how thin the hi top part is. toe/ollie area will last forever.

yeah, but the suede ones stretch out more than the canvas ones in my experience.

The flick takes some getting used to, the canvas ones obviously ripped pretty fast, but comfortable and pretty good shoe nonetheless.

agreed.  I wasn't into the look/style of the grey/gum mid at all, but liked the black/white mid even less, but really wanted to give the 'ol waffle cup a try and wanted a mid. so, obviously, just went for it, and now liking the colorway and style more and more.

i'll report back on the important part (how they skate)
hardly art, hardly starving

i just got my first pair today and oh my god they are perfect. thankyou for the recommendation tate and weartested.

i always say i'm going to stick with the one shoe to skate in, first it was blazers, then leos, cruisers, edgars, then back to blazers. i'm sure these are all i'm going to buy from now on.

i'll get that black/gum colourway next. i just wish i had tried a pair earlier.

ha i do that too, then i see some sick new shoe, or a sale and everything changes

I've had both, multiple blazers, just trying to find something new and exciting. If not the blazers will be purchased.
