Man I miss iPath..
[close]

On the one hand....yeah iPath was awesome. Their quality was so so at best. The cat was incredibly bloated (still very fun to skate). Those Clarke’s look beautiful. I have an old old pair of worn blonde wallabees, I’ve considered skating them (I’m the least Sheffey looking, but big, big fan). The Clarke’s do look like ankle breakers
[close]

The iPath ones looked just as good as wallabees but skated so so good. It was rad to look down and see them.. You felt so fresh. They lasted good too!

Everything you say is correct, except them looking as good. They looked cool, in they own way, but wallabees are an extremely cool shoe. Much nicer quality level, imo

I need something for beat feet. Mine are always hurting, my main injury from skating (never really tried stuff where I’d get hurt). Looked at these and on the opposite end of the spectrum, the wenning lynx, which were for sure comfortable. Anytime I wear shoes that aren’t vans I’m bummed on the aesthetics.

They also make some new comfycush something or other

True true. Good call, thanks for the ideas. Running the truly buttersoft orange label dunks. Skate well. The wenning’s felt the best when I tried em on, but I didn’t catch that wave first time around. I look ridiculous

BRRRRR!

Thanks to Comfort Skateshop.

Were the Orange label dunks representative of how all dunks feel/fit.  I remember someone saying they were more uncomfortable but I wasn’t sure if that was just their weird insoles or not

Honestly my white orange label dunks are on ice rn. still Deadstock. they look incredibly comfy though. These porcelain ones are taking longer to break in than my other pairs I will say. I won't skate them until I have worn them as chillers for a few weeks.

in my case(black colorway) they were super comfy and pillowy at first, then the toe flex point hurt like a bitch, then i went skating anyways and wore them to work after which they really broke in. they are totally fine now. the flex point softened up without forming a weird permanent crease, too, which is a plus. they felt sturdier than most dunks i had my hands on in the very beginning. at this point, mine are mushed out to perfection. nice snug fit, still nicely padded all around, no need to rambolace em and a comfortable amount of room in the toe area widthwise.

really digging the o.l. dunks, would love to be able to buy mids and hope nike will release them in europe.

Got both OL dunk lows and the blacks started out way stiffer than the whites. That's just the nature of the materials they used. I'd get the whites all day if you don't want to break em in, but the blacks feel a little more stable. Both are really comfortable.

Once I tried to skate some wallabees after a drunk dinner. I instantly rolled my ankle pretty bad on a nollie flip.
So dont skate wallabees! They were made to look good on you, not for griptape action...

Can't tell in you're asking or stating but yes, that's a big fail on manufacturer side.

Had the exact same thing happen to mine, but split into two chunks.  I just used shoe glue (not goo) and it patched up.

I skated a pair of Empire G6s last year with the same sole as these Hermans and they were pretty sick, so I grabbed these today since I saw them on sale. The original G Codes were great, hope these new versions skate well.

DC Penza - Slim Modern fit, not wide, really snug on my left pinky toe.
Maybe I should have gone a .5 size up.

Had the same shoe, same color way. Skates awesome but the the sole near the toe wore down so quickly. Not surprising considering how shallow it is.
