I've been eyeing Tyshawn's shoe for quite a while. Only heard good things about it + cupsole mid topish is too appealing to say no. Thing is that I was in my country adidas site and they recommend to order half size smaller.
Any comments about it?

I find the Tyshawns to actually be a little tight in the toe area until they fully break in after a couple sessions.  I personally go true to size with that shoe.

I almost returned mine, but after a week in them they are actually fitting.
tow box was short and tight but loosening, also the mid area was pushing my foot forward but it seems to be softening up now.
no, i live in an efficiency by myself and work in middle management like you, loser

Just like the previous posts say true to size, they break in fairly easy and are great, highly recommend. I think I saw they are doing a tyshawn low soon, in case that sways your decision at all

I had the Busenitz Vulc 2 and the new Puig both size 9.5 but needed a 10 on the Tyshawn.

You guys who skate aj1 mids, do you swap insoles ?
[close]
I tried them on in 2019 and they had glued in insoles. Not saying they can't be swapped but I was surprised by that detail at that pricepoint

The weird thing about Jordan 1’s is they run half a size big. So I get my true size and put another already used inner sole in and they are perfect.

Been skating the black suede Last Resort AB VM001’s for the past couple days.  Felt completely broken in right out of the box and the boardfeel is excellent.  Not sure how long they’ll last but I’ll probably preemptively order another pair.

These look so nice. I tend to skate cons or vans but very tempted by these. Would you say they're a mix of both or closer to a converse style shoe?

To be honest I’ve never skated Cons cause the sizing of the CTAS is so weird for me, but I’d assume that’s a good description of them. To me, they feel like a less floppy Vans.  As long as you’re not jumping down big stuff you’ll probably like them because they’re pretty thin.

shitty pic, nb 440 picked up off a fellow slap pal for cheap

at first i was like damn these fuckers are comfy but boardfeel is non existent. read a few reviews with people saying a session broke them in, took more like 3/4 for me. always been a vulc guy but i feel like cupsoles are inadvertently benefiting me - i'm definitely one of those people who take a while to setup/adjust to tricks which especially with vulcs/shoes with more boardfeel ill constantly be fiddling with my position until it feels perfect. with cupsoles and less boardfeel i find im setting up a lot quicker and arguably have a few more tricks consistently because im not fidgeting. probably a bit neurotic but thats my experience so far.

Gazelles are the best. Where’d you find em cheap? May have to add to the collection.

The laces for the NB# 440 are way too small. Anyone know any replacement laces that work well for skating? I just like to tighten up my shoes and have some lace hanging.

I’m in Australia. The Adidas outlet in my city. They have the best stuff for cheap. They were on the last size shelf and it’s was a 40% off that price. So around $25AUD.  I also got the Joey Bast colourway for $50. Got a pair for me and my friend.

I got 2 pair of white on white shelltoes for $13 each last month.

And the Nike outlet here… amazing. I have so much dope ACG stuff that was hella cheap.

Can't break in my crockett highs so been skating cons alot lately.

Thought I'd try these to see if they helped my knees, the only supreme thing I own and bought on ebay for £20 including postage. Not too bad, but the slick leather felt a bit weird to start.

How's the fit on these? Narrow or Wide? Are the insoles removable? They look nice!

Globe Surplus Sammy Montano. After reading some good comments here I found them half price so I couldn't pass.

They feel really well made and heavy compared the last pairs of Vans I skated.

I just got a pair of Adidas 3st004 in the mail. They are incredibly comfortable and unlike many other Adidas shoes they have quite a bit of midsole thickness and support in the forefoot. They're incredibly snug (I went TTS) and like a nice Slapper explained to me in the "has anyone skated these shoes?" thread- the stock insole are sufficient but also there's not really room to switch out to an aftermarket insole. Maybe if they stretch out a bit I'll try some aftermarket ones but just walking in them today I think they're already good to go from the boost midsole support. I'm recovering from ankle surgery so I can't skate yet but I'll post more when I get to try them out on the board.

I gotta say something like mid-wide, the insoles are removable and they're great. My only complain is that the collar and the heel tab are too thin (something like the vans authentic)

How's the sole on those those Rowley's? Is it newer sole with deeper thread patterns?

Has a pair in white years ago and loved it but the thin sole was a no go then and probably a no go now.

the sole is extremely grippy. the waffle has that inward tread if that makes any sense. it’s got the popcush insole and, to me, feels a lot better than the wafflecup rapidwelds from a couple years ago. Those got floppy and gross quick. I can’t get enough of classics reissues. I wish they’d stick around all year.
