still wearing those dress blue half cab 92s as chiller but they bother me.

I keep thinking they would break in but I think its not even the insole, I don't like the stiff heel shank and extra rubber duracap it feels like a brick on my foot.

Anyone have any advice or should I just throw in the towel.

My tyshawns were not breaking in FOREVER but finally became comfy despite being snug but these half cabs are made of granite

Any brand really, I just like this upper a lot and collar around ankle. plus tongue is just right

I always thought the Kwalk 1 was pretty close to a Vansified Emerica Reynolds. Maybe try on a pair of Low Vulcs as that's just the Reynolds Vulc renamed after he left.

Also there are full suede Kwalks and versions with a fabric side panel so maybe that will help? I personally don't think they are any more oveny than any other shoe in either version, at least not on a Nyjah level.

Finally on the foot prison dress blue HC 92s, I've been running a Nike React insole in some other broken in Half Cabs and it's been nice but it lowers the foot just a little bit. I didn't realize the Pop Cush insoles had so much heel lift. Maybe you could try a insole that is the same shape but isn't as high? So far brand new Half Cabs and React insoles haven't worked out and I've only been able to put them into the shoes I have already broken in.

Haven’t stood on a board with them yet. But from one guy with shitty knees to another.. cupsoles are the move.
These are a good middle ground. Honestly the closest to a dunk that isn’t a dunk.

Haven’t stood on a board with them yet. But from one guy with shitty knees to another.. cupsoles are the move.
These are a good middle ground. Honestly the closest to a dunk that isn’t a dunk.

They have kinda good boardfeel for a cupsole. Of course it is not like a Vulc shoe but that is normal. I just find the insoles of the Manteca a bit weird. The insole isn't completely flat and I am not a fan of these supportive sidewalls. Kinda hard to explain but it is similar to the Emerica G6 insoles. But I also have very flat feet.

Early aughts this was my go to shoe. Always the mono black with the grey DC on the side. I had more pairs of these than Accels. Loved when they got worn in from skating and put the white laces in the all black. I’ve got to get a pair.
