Well... I didn't say I was done skating them.

But I don't skate shoes for a long time anyways.

I can't blame you. I usually get tired of looking down at the same shoe after a while but I try to just ignore it and skate the most out of them. Those Howards are looking good with the khaki.

My thoughts exactly, I just give them away to little kids who wear the same size after I am done with them.

This! I work for a shoe company and thus reap the benefits of being able to switch up shoes frequently. I take my "old" shoes down to the skatepark from time to time and give them to kids.
The problem is finding kids that rock 11.5

Anyway, some funky floral Vans for spring shredding.

adidas silas slr after skated 4 hours (two 2 hour sessions)
true to size.
very comfortable.
very grippy.
mesh tongue (comfy/breathable) with center straps
mix between the buz pro (shape and fit, minus the raised heel), adv (fit and grip and minimal seams), and puig (thin sidewalls (although not sprint skin), fit (locks in your heel).

Does your ankle feel like its ready to roll under that unconventional heel?  I've heard that a sturdy heel is more important than ankle support (like high tops) for rolled ankles

A+ kit, Art. The Silas SLR and the Buz setup - beautiful.

Nice mini review of the SLR shoe too. Been wondering how they skated. Honestly, despite the concerns about the look of the heel everyone that skates them seems to love them.

no, it doesnt feel like it's ready to roll and after not skating ledges all winter I gave 'em plenty of opportunities to roll while dancing around on top of, and running out of, an overwaxed ledge this weekend.

despite everyone's concern, they feel fine.

also, I used to love skating in the ES Contract (and the Rowley XLX) back when that was out and it had the same heel thing going on and never gave any problems.

but hey, by the same token, don't blame me if you roll your ankle wearing a pair...

I just found online a pair of Acosta's Pro Authentics on sale but it's been years since the last time I wore Vans.

Anyone of you had some experience with them?

-Acosta's Vans-

Not the authentic pros but I can't imagine they differ too much from the era pro, which is probably my favourite shoe out, like most vans the sole does wear out quickly, if it's the darker one used on most pro classics, still it takes me a while too get through the suede  and if they're on sale even better

I had some syndicate authentic pros recently and had to go a half size down.

Had A friend who got these and said his true size fit well.

Syndicate ones consistently fit large,
Got the Neil Blender authentics and they too ran 1/2 size big.

Those Busenitzs are sick. Are you wearing the same size in both shoes? I have the Reynolds in 10.5 and want to pick up some Adidas for sale online but with some Adidas (Rod Lavers, Sambas) I'm a 10.5 and in other models I need an 11 (Silas 1s, ADVs).

While we're at it, anyone know how the Lucas Pros are sized? Really want those black w/gum sole ones...

Thanks!
