One other Cons question to throw out there. If I wear an 8.5 in Vans and Huf would I be good with an 8 in Cons or would I have to go all the way down to 7.5?
I wear same size as you, I get 8 in converse.

I think 1 size down is the best... I tried some CTAS the other week and half size down felt so big! Then i tried the star players half size down and were too long, 1 size down they felt better (some years ago i had the Kenny Anderson colorway of the star players 1 size down and they crushed my feet, had to sell them! Maybe is the lunarlon or the mold is different)

I wear an 11.5 in Nike, 11 in Vans, and I got the black Polar Chucks in 10.5 and they're perfect. The 11 seemed like it would stretch and get floppy quickly.

This.

I'm an 11 in most Nikes, 10.5 in the Emerica Reynolds/MOST Adidas (11 in ADV), 10 in Pro Skate Chucks.

Good looks Jim! I have been eyeing a pair of these up at the shop but haven't pulled the trigger. I am interested to hear how they are skating for you. I loved the fit of the lo version and imagine these feel the same, just cut higher.

If only they were a 10 or under :(((((

The chances of finding a pair of these is like a million to one, right?

I don't thinks so? I just sold a pair of worn ones on eBay so I could finally break out my deadstock pair. (Both in that color. I also have the all black/white bottom and the black/white ones)

As far as I'm concerned I never need to get another company's shoes except Supra, they have yet to let me down. These are no different, I'll say without a doubt, one of the top 3 best skate shoes I've ever owned. If you're the type of person who enjoys a mid top cup sole, a la Dunk Mid, etc. this is the shoe for you. It has the sole of the skytop 3, but in my opinion is a far better shoe as whole, due to its lighter weight(sole and upper), superiority in its durability, it's a bit higher which provides better ankle support, has a better shape and in my humble opinion looks a lot cooler. I have the weird style lacing set up and it honestly works really well, my foot feels nice and snug in there in comparison to normal style lacing. The fact I haven't seen a single other person rocking these besides Lucien Clarke blows my mind, a well kept secret which I'm ok with.

Just tried them out today.  I think it's a near perfect shoe for me.  The sole is pretty balanced and the flick is as good as any vulc shoe.  The only drawback is the ventilation, but that's something I was okay with before I even bought the shoe.  They're a tiny bit higher than the NB brighton mids so no issues with support either.

It was mildly slippery for like?two days? I think it was just because I was skating a super worn out deck, once I switched it to a fresh deck(mob grip), they wore in and grip like a dream. The leather is tank compared to the suede too, seems like it'll be impossible to wear through.

I've been skating them for about 1-2 months, and the only noticeable wear is on the grip of my front foot, but that's more likely due to me doing so many no complys and happens with every pair of shoes I own. Also happened with my skytop 3's, and even after they went bald completely in the forefoot area, I had no issues with grip.

not "fixed..." if anything, go a half size down to be safe. If you like no wiggle room, go a full size down. I should know, I've had every version of the cts/ctas.

These are really nice suede that stretches and forms. I bought a whole size down and they're perfect now. I got the black ones. Getting the other two tomorrow because I couldn't decide.

No need to microwave these

These shoes rule! I will get another pair in a heartbeat. Currently skating the Reynolds 3 cupsole, grey. They are good, just a bit stiffer than the Hermans. My old feet do not get down with any vulc.

Cons needs to fix their sizing shit. Complaining on SLAP isn't gonna help tho. maybe I should write an email or something.

Converse has always had that weird sizing, way before they joined the skate game.  I remember buying Chuck Taylor's 20 years ago and having that same issue.

I've never really heard an explanation of why that is

I'm skating the Romero Laced right now and while I love the shoe, I've already worn through the sole in less than three weeks. I go through soles like crazy because i wiggle my foot around before tricks. I love skating the laced and vans eras but they are hurting my wallet. Anyone have any suggestions for a shoe with similar boardfeel and overall thinness but with a super durable sole/grip? Thanks!
