-Nike SB P-ROD 8-

Does anyone tried them? Any feedback?

I know Will Easley tried them back in the summer but he didn't make a full review on them so if anyone has something to say it would be fully appreciated

Thanks but I already read that. I have nothing against Rippedlaces, but I'd like to hear another opinion.
[close]

They're definitely comfy and supportive but I feel they are a tad too thick in the forefoot for my own liking. I've had them in and out of my shoe rotation and have had some sessions better than others. You'll just have to get used to it but it's not too crazy if you regularly skate cupsoles. I feel like if it's the type of shoe you'd be remotely interested in then they're at least worth trying out if you find them on sale or are willing to pay for em, but you might not want to skate them if you dont like thicker cupsoles. It's easily the most cushioned shoe out right now but You will have to sacrifice a little boardfeel for it. Really like that all black colorway tho
[close]
Ok thanks, I wasn't a fan of the boardfeel of the Reynolds even if I like the boardfeel from dunks. So I should pass on this one unless i find them really really cheap

I was thinking of buying them and tried them on. Like 90% of the P-Rods, they seem a little too narrow in the middle of the shoe for me. Also they seemed to run 1/2 a size smaller than usual. I skate 9.5 dunks but would need a 10 in these, mainly because the fabric does not look like it will stretch a lot. Also, not sure how sweaty they may get... Other than that, they're comfy and if you skated through the late 90's early 2000's heavy tech phase, these will feel quite stripped down!

Ha ha! I thought exactly the same.

I once saw an Otaku on Dance Dance Revolution in Center Gai (street) Shibuya. He must have had a crowd of about 20/30 passersby around watching him do every stage perfectly. He would even do little bits of flair sometimes like a body spin or something. It was amazing. Japan has some really Japanese nutters...

Here they are for $65. Get on Google Chrome and download an app called "Honey", which automatically searches for coupon codes when you're about to check out. It found one for me that took an additional 12% off of them for being athletic shoes. Oh, and if you don't have Prime you can sign up for a free trial to get free 2 day shipping, then just cancel the trial as soon as you get them.

Been chilling and going to school in the oxblood dylans. Have yet to skate them, but they have been rubbing the shit out of my heels and it kinds of hurts. Anyone know any solutions?

The Huf Dylans? mine rubbed in the heel area too for the first week, my simple solution was wear a plaster on your foot of the area where rubbing occurs. But dont worry, they wear in pretty quick and after about a week they should loosen up and be super comfy and stop rubbing completely.

the problem i had with mine is the insole was moving forward so it would be a gap between the heel of the shoe and the back of the insole causing a uneven pain.  What i did was super glue the inside of the insole to the shoe and it fixed the problem.  I think the original glue dried out since these shoes were so old when i bought em

yeah the sole's crazy but i like it. I like the multi-colored hits on a black silhouette. these aren't skate shoes so its a totally different aesthetic. These things are loaded tho. The megafuse is actually super flexible but then the hyperposite wings on the ankle & side of the foot keeps you locked in. The whole upper and tongue is a one piece sleeve with the flywire cables embedded into the megafuse so its like this giant sock wrapped around your foot. very comfortable and obviously the multiple Zoom airbags on the outsole are cushy and got that bounce to them. Gonna be hooping and training in them regularly for sure.

how light are these shoes.  I kinda want them for my injury rehab/gym shoes but i heard they run narrow.  are these true to size or did you have to size up?

For myself I got them in my usual 10 and they feel good although you do gotta be careful with tightening the flywire too tight because It's a lot harder to loosen them back up again with how "locked down" the whole shoe fits as a one piece sleeve . You can defintely make these shits too narrow if you overdo it. They're pretty light for how cushioned/supportive they are and are probably as flexible as its gonna get for the type of shoe it is thanks to the deep grooves on the sole between the airbags & megfuse material on the upper. I just lifted in them today but friday I'll really be able to put em to work when I do more agility drills & leg stuff. They're noticably lighter & not as stiff as the lebron 11's if I had to make a direct comparison

switching back and forth between these two

I'm just loving mine Project BA's... Coming from a adi ease the change is kinda odd because they are completely different shoes, but i feel that my feet are so thankful i made this choice! They're so fucking confy!

That supra is a shoe i really want to try too!
I've always been a fan of the skytop 3 but never had a chance to try them so these are like a low top version that look really good! Hopefully my shop will carry them.

wearing the avex right now!

kind of a crazy change from the cons ctas i skated before, but pretty good! got the first session in two days ago. shoe is still a little too stable somehow if that makes sense. the back part of the sole is all suprafoam and super protective when you jump down stuff. front foot sits lower and you get a good amount of boardfeel from that, but still the sole is very stable. i'll skate it today for the second time, pretty interested in how they work after a couple sessions!

Having skated a couple of pairs of the new Lynx, I decided to give the MM shoe a go.

I really like the toe and the sole feels great. They are really flexible and I may get another pair.

Too gripes though. They run half a size big and are a different size to any other DCs I've ever had.

Also, the toe really really shoes sweat stains. It looks like you have the swampiest feet ever after a skate. Not a big deal but for a shoe that is marketed on being really breathable, it looks pretty scummy!

Definitely good to skate in though.

I have a pair waiting to be skated.  I probably got the wrong number or i've been only wearing shoes that fit big but mine are just to unconfortable, even after 6 months of walking arround on them.
Did you get 1 size above your regular or?
