Skates like a 'thinner' dunk with the toecap area, only day 1 but a good shoe, Not too loose, not too tight.

Went with the true size.

How high is the collar compared to dunks?
Could you make some review about it?
Like skating those for 20 hours please?

I'm really curious

So basically, not as good as dunks but thinner? Seems pretty typical sole tech...

First pair of converse I've had since I was a kid. A little weird at first. But after skating the for a bit, they felt really good.

Collar is lower in the accel compared to dunks, but not really a big deal.

Yeah, I'll be skating them for a bit. See how long they last.

I'll get up some photos of the progress as well.

About to start wearing these

First thoughts out of the box is they are going to be a great shoe. Fit true to size, feel supportive and are light. Only complaints, no tongue straps and the thin tongue flips easily when putting it on, same as Busenitz adv and they could have bumped up the synthetic material around the laces to provide some lace protection. All in all, way more positives than negatives and I think they'll skate really well

have you ever skated the originals?  I really really really want to know how they compare to the originals.

can you try to get a photo of the thickness of the sidewalls (sprint skin)?  how is the heel lock?  are they ridiculously light (the originals are)?

SOMEONE FROM ADIDAS SEND ME A SIZE 11 in the LUCAS ADV and I WILL DO A HEAD-TO-HEAD COMPARISON.

loved skating the P.Rod 7 hi's for summertime when I'm in shorts. for as high as the collar is, it really doesn't restrict your ankle movements as much as you'd think. i had the grey/black colorway and they lasted me months. dunks are obviously classics but it was weird for me going from skating 10+ pairs of the 7's since they first came out then going back to dunks because the dunk toecap seems so tiny and smushed up towards the top. plus you won't be ripping that seam or the swoosh stitching on the P.Rod's. Both really good shoes tho. most niggas on slap aint ready for such bold colors but i think both of those shoes are nice summertime kicks

Art I'll try to grab another pic later for you.  I haven't skated the originals but maybe I'll grab a pair on sale ( i've seen a bunch ) and then do a side by side comparison of them.  They are definitely on the lighter side.  I can't speak to heel lock yet as I have only put them on around the house for a few.  I'll let you know this weekend probably.

rad.  THanks.  That gives me a good idea of the sidewalls.  Looks like there's not any more "beef" to the sides than the original, which is good.  I'm mainly interested in your thoughts once you skate both...how's the heel lock?  how much more padding did they add to the shoe (I love how thin the originals are, best cupsole boardfeel next to the buz pro)?  Is the inside of the shoe "seamless"?  Stuff like that.

Heel lock is a bit better since the collar is a bit higher/ a little more padded.  Rest of the shoe is super thin.  To me it actually feels like they're thinner than his first shoe.  The shape of the toebox is a little more pointy than the OGs.  I wish they didn't get rid of the OGs as they were my favorite shoe on Adidas, but this one is pretty great.

those blazers are clean af tuque!

Gilbert shut it down in the Vans video and this colorway was too good to resist so i had to pick up some more mids for #ShortsSeason. haven't skated vans in at least 5-6 years so I'm interested to see how this wafflecup (i.e. cupsole with foxing tape) performs. forefoot is thin as shit and the heel still has that "thin cupsole" feel but the super gummy insole feels good in the back half of the shoe. just got them so i might have to skate them a few times and post back in here to comment on durability & overall skateability. They feel good and look well-constructed with quality materials so far tho. I like it when Vans makes shoes like the billion dollar company they are.

^^^ Will:  Looking forward to your take on the waffle cup.  I always like your approach/take on shoes, so it'll be interesting to see what types of things make it good/bad for you.

I also picked up a pair of Crocketts after the Vans video.  I wonder if any other part sold shoes like his part obviously did.

i was eyeing the Supra Ellington for some time now since i wanted to skate a midtop again. was pleasantly surprised to see these show up at my doorstep (thanks Supra!), the vulc version seems perfect.
so i guess i`ll be alternating between this one and the Fallen Burman now. then i`ll be sick of midtops for another 2 years i guess. we`ll see.

and yes, i was also pretty close to getting Vans Crockets too haha, goddamn Propeller. but hey, free shoes are free shoes, i sure as hell won`t complain.
