Anyone skated the Superstar Vulc ADV in leather? I got offered a white and black pair in leather (not suede), for 40% of the original price (60% off). If they skate decent I might as well cop a pair, I'm hating my DC cole lite 3's so far.

Have those, you have to get a bit used to the leather for heelflip tricks, but other than that really great fitting shoes. Nothing bad to say yet. I would buy if I were you.

Just finished off a pair of the black leather. The leather was really durable for me and the to cap was nice. Not too large or overly grippy. Best part of the shoe is the adi-prene insole. Great cushioning but still really good board feel.
flat spotted 3 times in 2 weeks, other than that awesome wheels

I haven't tried the leathers but I will say that after skating the suede ones, all of my Busenitz are now chill shoes and I will be skating nothing other than these for the foreseeable future.  That being said, I went half size down from my other shoes ( normally 8.5 went 8 ) and the fit is perfect.

Damn!! I had those. Did you find those somewhere or just been sitting on em?
[close]
I been sitting on them for a while. Decided to bust them out of the box yesterday and lace them up. Probably wont skate them though i got too many others to burn through first

I have a brand new pair as well, still in the box. They felt like they were a bit too big when I got 'em, although they were the same size as my previous pair. Maybe it was in my head but it fucked with me enough that I never wore them. No idea what to do with them, because for the past few years I've been skating way slimmer shoes and I don't really like them for chillers.

how do you like the accel slims so far? i loved mine especially in this colorway and have another black/white pair waiting!

I really like them, I was hesitant at first cause they are a little bigger/bulkier than the shoes I usually skate.
But once I got them on and started skating in them, I was hyped on them.
Super solid, real good flick, next on the list is some Sesla's and a pair of the Accel Slim Mids!

Don't get me wrong I still love the Busenitz, but I have to say for skating I think these are hands down better.  There is no seam to blow out, the sole is grippier out of the box, the insole is amazing and lets be honest no one will be going through that toe haha.

The only negatives I see are the rubber toe may make your flips off for a session or two until it wears a bit,  aesthetics ( if you don't like the look of the shell toe ), and the insole, while awesome, does bunch up your sock for a minutes or two.  All of which are non issues for me.

All in all it's a really great shoe if you are ok with the look of it

i love the flick of the accel slims sooo much and it seems to be really easy to heelflip, or in my case switch heelflip in them because there is so much of a shoe there in the back.
hope to get some selsas next...e's are nothing but good times for me since they come back, but i might just have fell victim to the nostalgia?

Skated them for the first time today, took a bit to get used to ankle feel and fit. But after skating them, they are awesome.

Flicks great and grips the board so good. A damn shame they're $150, but I feel for that price, the shoe will be worth it. Durability is there, will take a damn long time to wear out the grip and sole.

dog those look ridiculous
[close]

Arent we overreacting. I think that the top view is really standard actually, since you cant see the sock. Looks just like a P.rod shoe, nothing too crazy.

ave shoe on dc had sockliners
[close]

I fucking love that shoe to this day. It even had a heel strap. Not even sure if that was functional or not. I forget what Nike shoe that was inspired by.

Ha I had those too! Great Shoe and skated really well. The strap on the back didntbreally have a function. At least, I couldntbtell what itbwas.

Some iid was so jealous of my shoes that he boughtbthem off me after I was done skating them...

They were hard to find here.

Those are quite possibly the worst looking skate shoe I've ever seen.

Com on now, I could name 10 shoes under 60 seconds that looked WAY worse...

Not nostalgia, I've had the new accel Vulc or whatever, the reissue square two essentially . And the new accelerates and both have been amazing. Haven't really skate the Accelerates much since they're a bit big and slip but both shoes look goo, are comfortable and Durable at better than average skate prices. That being said the gt Blazers I picked up with the accelerates have quickly turned a shoe that I found to be disappointing previously into one of my favorites ever.

I've only skated Nike and sole tech in the last 2 years and they're on par in terms of durability and style for me at least so it's nice to have at least one quality non corporate option available in more sporty styles like es compared to straight skate in emerica.

Oh sick, yeah I've been walking around in my suede pair and they are comfortable (the insole can get annoying as it gets your socks stuck when putting them on). I'll try cop the leather pair, would you guys recommend skating the suede pair or leather pair? I want to keep one as a chill shoe, I like the suede better in terms of looks so I don't really want to skate that one.

If I end up not getting the deal, I'm thinking of either the CK's or CTAS Pro. Which is better?

Has anyone here tried the Metric CLS? I've only talked to one guy who had them but he was a Vulc guy complaining about board feel which, as a guy that likes protective cupsoles, seemed to be an indication I might like them. Any opinions on the Metric?

Are they sized the same as the CTS?

The NB# Arto 358 shoe is a total brick. I like NB and I like Arto but this is a swing and miss. They look nice on foot, but that's where it ends. They are really wide (like a shoe from the late 90s) and for being a vulc they're stiffer than the HUF Dylan. Crazy stiff. Truthfully they feel like I'm wearing the Etnies Vallely 1. These will be in the Classifieds soon.

These do feel a wider and stiffer than other NB# vulc models. I liked mine after breaking them in, but when I put them on initially I definitely agreed with you.

Their "Pro" line for classics like the Era, Old Skool, and Sk8-Hi is a rip now. Insole sucks balls, and the toe bumper is disgusting, shoe takes forever to break in too.
